I am spastic, gullible, and awesome.
My Self-Summary
I am easily entertained. I love music, I love people who love
music. I love to make things. I'm a little crazy, but happy most of
the time. I think sloths are the coolest things ever. I love
watching boys argue about
string theory and other things I
can't fully comprehend. Call me Ms. Jackson if you're nasty.

Disclaimer: I'm a right big girl. If you are put off by that, I
feel that you should know right off the bat. I am pretty darn
comfortable with myself at this point in my life, not to say that
I'm not trying to loose a little weight. Hopefully at some point I
will get some help working it off.
What I’m doing with my life
I've been working at a sign printing company with a bunch of crazy
people pretending to be a bookkeeper. I make jewelry (at least some
times). I want to learn how to weld. I'd like to get access to a
wood shop again. Trying to balance the job with my own thing... not
doing a great job at the moment.
I’m really good at
I'm a really good hugger - I think that's important.
Making jewelry, taking
things too literally, buying stuff at
thrift stores, making green curry or
chili, and alphabetizing. See picture captions for additional info.
The first things people usually notice about me
My winning smile, habitual laughing, and my knowledge of butt rock
and 80s
horror
movies.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books:
Clive
Barker was my very favorite author when I was 13. Phillip K.
Dick. William S Burroughs.
Hellblazer and various other comics.
David
Sedaris.
Neil
Gaiman. I can't help but love Harry Potter. I'm not very well
read... need to fix this situation.
Movies:
The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai Across the 8th Dimension,
Phantasm,
Princess Bride, most 80s
horror movies (
Nightmare on Elm Street
is my favorite series),
They Live,
Evil Dead, Shredder Orpheus, Better
Off Dead,
Nightbreed,
Dune, Pump up the Volume (great soundtrack
too),
Troma movies,
Full Moon
movies, Peter Jackson, Tim Burton, David Cronenberg, David Lynch,
etc.
Music:
David
Bowie,
Sonic
Youth,
Jesus
Lizard,
Joy
Division, X, Descendents, The Cramps, The Misfits, My Bloody
Valentine, Peter & Gordon, T.V. on the Radio,
Dinosaur Jr.,
Faith No More, Nick
Cave and the Bad Seeds,
DEVO, Man or Astroman, Fugazi, The Magnetic
Fields,
Thin
Lizzy, and on and on and on.
Food: Right now I am obsessed with Bento boxes. I love CeFiore, the
frozen yogurt place off Bardstown Rd. Who knew I would love green
tea flavored yogurt as much as I do. At the moment, my favorite
restaurants in town are Havana Rumba, Vietnam Kitchen, and Dizzy
Whizz.
The six things I could never do without
My record collection (about 400 mostly crappy records - I buy for
the cover a lot)
My tape collection (about 250 mostly crappy tapes - I feel a need
to save cassettes from certain doom)
My cat Veda - she is the coolest and she keeps me sane
Can of Drum tobacco or pack of Camels - unless I were to actually
stop smoking
A few whiskey and cokes to enjoy with my smokes - at least once a
week (normally Wednesday)
My scooter. He is my favorite thing in my life and my boyfriend at
the moment, so you might have a little bit of competition. I have
named him
Rowdy Roddy Piper. I can't
decide whether to call him by his full name or Hotrod.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I should be in charge of programming at VHI Classics or how I
could open up a really cool store somewhere really cool.
That I really should be doing something productive right now. How
to stop being mediocre at both my job and my work and take pride in
both.
On a typical Friday night I am
At the
Mag Bar
hanging out, drinking whiskey and cokes (with cherries) or at home
playing video games, watching bad t.v., or making jewelry &
listening to records. The Georgetown Drive-In is one of my favorite
places ever. I'll go see anything if I get to go there.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I did karaoke for the first time recently. It was a duet with my
very unstable friend Courtney in Paris, TN... Lita Ford "Kiss Me
Deadly". I have a terrible voice.
You should message me if
You should write me if you love
Dinosaur Jr. and
Michael Patton,
horror movies,
video games, and
anything else I don't know about. I do like learning new things. If
you have any thing to ask me other than "whats up sexy".
