I love art house films, and well-done big-budget ones. I'm an
endless critic of really popular films, because it makes things
exciting and controversial. You might possess some sort of key to
my heart (which is evidently under some sort of lock?) if you can
teach me more about gothic literature, or alternatively are a fan
of Kafka (though I know, a different 'genre'). We could have a chat
about 19th century symbolism in art, literature and music, as well.
Or we could talk about the merits of Borges' grasp on the problem
of universals. Or if you are a fan of history, we could talk about
the second world war, Nazi germany, the complete period of the
middle ages with an emphasis on scholasticism, or the development
of sexuality through the history of cultures (with emphases on
Greek pederasty and lyric verse). Anyway, I'm not sure why people
care so much about the literary tastes of others, as long as they
can be justified eloquently. I'm sort of obsessed with healthy
food, so I stick to the best that limited resources can buy :))
