My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Wanderlust: This is what motivates me. My spark, my curiosity of language, music, architecture, and people -- the profundity of it all! I am a life long learner who seemingly just mars the veneer. I travel as often as I can, which usually means visiting a handful of friends spread throughout the US and some real cool places abroad. I seldom have anything to really complain about, and I am passionate about bestest friends, family and recreational cooking.

It would be a little presumptuous to say I know exactly what would work for me, but I am generally attracted to someone who is mildly to wildly eclectic in their very singular way. Someone who is out of line rather than in-step and conforming to every small social norm and practice. A creative, giving, positive natured, and most importantly, a progressive minded gal. Perhaps a girl with an appreciation for the absurd, or at least kitsch - and a bit irreverent. A woman of wicked intellect, yet balanced by sublime dorkitudity. A lady who can let her freak flag fly! And maybe she listens to Public or Community Radio.

I am a doer and don't take much stock in over pondering.

Originally from Portland, Oregon and that implies some of the more stereo-typical-political and social sensibilities. Like commuting by bicycle. Coffee achiever. Miss living on a houseboat...

I like reading. Attempting to cover as many of the classics as I can these days and I especially enjoy Garcia-Marquez and Murakami, but my favorites change with almost every new book I pick up. I have a few interesting magazine subscriptions as well: Utne, Paste, Oxford American, Mother Jones, Natural Home, Saveur, Global Rhythm, the New York Review of Books, et al.

Although I don't own a tv, I do enjoy me some netflix movies.

So, some of my favorite movies ordered alphanumerically (thank you netflix):
