LOTS AND LOTS of Phil Spector records. sidney bechet, louis prima, russian futurists, ella fitzgerald, john prine, ted leo and the motherfucking pharmacists, hex dispensers, jamie lidell, steve goodman, roger miller, electrelane, broadcast, os mutantes, beulah, the sin eaters, chisel, wire. you know, all the crap people listen to. also: the music of my people - the hill people. this stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frCDYD0Cgpk
