Your Notes
Edit your notesI am funny, quirky, and dependable.
My Self-Summary
I'm a pretty laid back person, I love to hang out with friends, play games and relax. That doesn't mean I don't know when to be serious, just that I don't take myself to seriously. I can be sarcastic at times, but only with others who I know will be ok with that.
I currently work to pay my bills, although I dream of having a job that I can't wait to get out of bed to get to in the morning ... there is something important in having a sense of purpose and fulfillment in what I do. I also am hoping to find that person who I can't wait to get home to see and spend time with; I am a complete person and don't need someone to make me whole ... I want someone to enjoy life with.
My closest friends describe me as dependable and honest. I'm comfortable building others up and don't need to be the center of attention, however I can be the class clown from time to time ... even when the joke is on me.
I believe that we are best judged by how we relate to others, not what we have. I think that contentment comes from the people we have in our lives, not the size of my bank account; so when I leave this world I hope that the people around me judge me based on that. We are defined not only by our successes, but by how we respond to our challenges.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in customer service right now, not sure what I will be when I grow up ... I have some ideas, and I look at work as what allows me to have fun and live outside my job.
I'm trying to catch some baseball and started running again recently.
I’m really good at
I love playing Rollerblade hockey, ice skating and 3rd Base (need a good softball league).
I love to laugh and find the humor in life. I enjoy games and playing Rock Band when I hang out with my friends ... even though I don't enjoy online gaming and I can't play a real musical instrument worth a darn.
The first things people usually notice about me
I love to smile and laugh. I have two left feet, but love to dance when the mood strikes me.
My fashion style is pretty laid back, I'd rather hang out in comfortable jeans and a shirt when I have down time. That is not to say that I can't dress well, just that ties are a rarity these days, at least until I find someone to get dressed up for.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My literary tastes range from philosophy (got hooked in college) and history to science fiction/ fantasy. Some of my favorite authors are Bertrand Russell, David Hume, John McIntyre, J. K. Rowling, Terry Brooks and J.R.R. Tolkien.
I like to try new foods, but find that I'm pretty basic meat & potatoes a lot of the time ... oh and a good cheese cake brownie & coke make the day better.
The six things I could never do without
1. My computer
2. My friends
3. My freedom
4. A good cheeseburger
5. A good sense of humor
6. A Library
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately, about going to watch a Shuttle Launch (something I've wanted to do since I was a kid) and how the government has forgotten the principles of democracy and ignores the constitution.
If you can explain the development of Liberation Theology, Existentialism or Macro Economics then you'll have my attention. Oh and any conversation on the politics of America since the end of World War II or the decline and fall of the Roman Empire and how the Christian church in part caused this will get my attention.
Also, if you're up on your movie quotes and comics that's cool too.
