Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
book= the greatest book of all time is "where the wild things are" by maurice sendak. another personal fav is george orwell's animal farm- i dont read as much as i would like, i am working on this. most of what i have read as of late is nonfiction.i just finished dan kennedy's "rock on", very funny. lately i have been reading a lot of poetry.

i know its not a book but i do read this every mon-fri-- http://www.questionablecontent.net/

movie= Casablanca- anything with the muppets. i once had aspirations to be a screen writer, i even got accepted to usc. things have changed. i tend to not like many mainstream movies.i like more independent films, stupid comedies, old movies with bogart or hepburn, documentaries, pretty much anything from wes anderson or the coen brothers. i may like old musicals too much.

music=
i strongly believe in the holy trinity of The Ramones, The Replacements, and The Who.

most of my friends are musicians. i love all types, music really is my life, i could go on forever here. rock, classic soul, indie, americana, blues, i guess ill give a list of some in no particular order: brand new, townes van vandt, otis redding, ani defranco, wilco, tom waits, lana del rey, the weakerthans, the dirtbombs, neil diamond, architecture in helsinki, dresden dolls, carolina chocolate drops, bright eyes, uncle tupelo, balkan beat box, saul williams, the jayhawks, the who, james brown, unknown hinson, red clay ramblers, de la soul, wayne hancock, billy joe shaver, kyuss, cat power, marvin gaye, fun, pj ollson, Kate Micucci (garfunkel and oates), ella fitzgerald, gogol bordello, erin mckeown, dr. dog, atmosphere, leonard cohen, billie holiday, the clash, johnny cash, kasey chambers, the stylistics, the duhks, queens of the stone age, husker du, elliot smith,mc chris, i could go on forever....

food= is it me or does food not fit here? the rest are all media. whatever. i love food, i can not understate that. i am the type of person that doesn't mind driving 3 hours to go to a particular restaurant. my favorite food is lasagna, i love to cook and i love to eat (though you could never tell by looking at me). lately i have become addicted to naan and humus (seriously, i may need an intervention).

everyone else puts t.v. here so i will too.
i am usually working during prime time television so i don't watch many shows.
i primarily watch the following channels: food network, history channel, history channel international, discovery, espn, bbc, g4, cartoon network (adult swim), smithsonian

i often watch these shows: portlandia, mclauglin group, how i met your mother, mythbusters, top gear, bored to death. top gear, the league

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
i think whoever invented the automatic transmission should be shot. why would anyone ever chose to not drive stick?

if i ever have a son i want to name him after Aristotle

i am developing an obsession with Katherine Hill of the Lexie Mountain Boys and Ace of Cake fame.

i started a joke, which started the whole world crying...

i am willing to admit that i like the song that the above line is from, you would be a lot cooler if you knew what song it was. (if you use google it does not count)

i am ordained minister (don't worry i am not a religious freak, i did it to prove a point)
