I've been in Salem for a year and I'm still getting to know where things are. I like it here but I do miss the Portland area sometimes.
Before you go any further you should probably know a few things about me.
I'm intelligent, well read, opinionated and capable of poking holes in flimsy logic. I'm also very open minded and I believe that all belief structures are valid. That being said I don't need to be converted. My Christian friends have learned not to have religious discussions with me because logic just isn't a pretty wreath of flowers which smell bad.
By the way, if you understood the logic comment then stop now and write me a message. Really.
I don't drive because I choose not too. If one of your criteria for a date is that he has a car then go elsewhere. I have better things to spend money on than a car at the current prices. I have other things to accomplish before I worry about that.
I'm interested in dating and keeping it light. If something develops then fantastic. Try starting with messages and then we can move on to coffee and conversation. The sooner the better actually. I have no desire to spend a lot of time doing messages.
What I'm best at is being me and that can't be properly described in this little box.
I've got dark hair and eyes and that's what people usually comment on.
I'm kind of all over the map on movies too. If the reviewers hated it then I'll probably go watch it as I like to make up my own mind. The last movie I saw was The Avengers. Before that The Dark Knight Rises. My favorite movies are Pan's Labyrinth and The Man From Snowy River.
I'll listen to anything except most of the new country music and gangster rap. On the country side of it how many times are you going to sing about your dog or your truck?
I love Thai, Japanese, Greek, Indian, Italian and Mexican food, in no particular order and I'm probably leaving things out. Coffee and Chocolate should be separate food groups. I also love to cook.

Ode To Caffeine
The Holy Coffee Urn is my shepherd; I shall not want.
It maketh me the Elixir of Life: It leadeth me from the stumbling of the sleep-deprived.
It restoreth my cognitive functions: It leadeth me in the paths of the Caffeinated for It's name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of the stupid, I will fear no contamination: for It art with me: It's stimulation and It's effects they imbue me.
It preparest a mug before me in the presence of the uninitiated: It anointest my facilities with Ambrosia: My coffee mug runneth over.
Surely Kenya and Colombian will follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Caffeine Enhanced forever.

You would like to get to know someone who actually has a brain, can cook and is truly interested in what you have to say.
If you know who you are and have at least a basic idea of what you want.....we should probably talk. *chuckles*
If you don't write in chat speak we'll get along.
Most of all if you smiled even once while reading this profile then why are you not typing a message already?
