My self-summary

I hike a lot thru Griffith Park on the weekends.
I used to run, then I injured myself playing football. . .Flag football, ladies. I traded up for swimming.
I live in Los Feliz, but i kind of miss the west side...
I'm addicted to comedy podcasts.
I "try to surf" and I'm afraid of sharks, but I'll still give it a go.
I Love the morning. I love nighttime. Middle of the day I could nap thru.
I miss Fall and Winter a lot out here.
I'll tell you I hate reality tv, and you will find me watching an MTV True LIfe Marathon. Never a show with the word "Housewives" in it, though.
I hang out at at bookstores and coffee shops.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - I read A LOT. I'm a sucker for anything sad - Ishiguro's "Never Let Me Go", "Sophie's Choice", just finished "A Visit From The Goon Squad" and thought it was amazing.
I read a lot of short story writers - Murakami, Andre Dubus, Somerset Maugham,etc.. I find Joseph Campbell to be about as brilliant as it gets.
Finally got through Murakami's last one, 1Q84. Wow, that could have been a lot better for almost 1000 pages.

Some good movies - The Graduate, Wonder Boys, Beautiful Girls, In The Mood For Love, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Iron Giant, Old Boy, 400 Blows, Miyazaki Films, Shame, Drive, Ordinary People, Lost Boys, Hoosiers, Real Genius, Moonrise Kingdom, MASH.. too many to write down.

Some good TV -Mad Men (This last season blew me away), Parks and Rec, The IT Crowd, Peep Show, Girls, Seinfeld, The Soup, Six Feet Under, Happy Endings, Tim & Eric, Bob's Burgers, Colbert Report, Workaholics, Life and Times of Tim. Dr. Steve Brule holds a special place in my heart. Anything that is clever and a little dark generally floats my boat.

Music: I Pandora it a lot these days. War On Drugs, Beirut, Radical Face (probably best album of 2011), French Kicks, Blonde Redhead, Sulk, Sharon Van Etten, Justice, Frightened Rabbit, Bon Iver, Pixies, Fugazi, Arcade Fire, Bright Eyes, Belle And Sebastien, Rolling Stones, Neil Diamond, Calexico, Ratatat, New Pornographers, Doves, Whisketown, XX, Velvet Underground, Walkmen, Fleet Foxes, Queens Of The Stone Age, etc.
