My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, first I was born.
Then some time passed until I moved to Brooklyn to go to law school. The intervening years held several great stories, but I tell them better in person so I'll wait until I can.

Then another year passed and it was the dawn of 2013. I decided to revise my OkCupid profile.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Lawyer's apprentice. Actually no, that's not how it works; I wish. You gotta go to school for three years and sometimes they let you hang out in their office for free.

Right now I'm hanging out in an office that gives direct legal services to New Yorkers. Sometimes I go to under served neighborhoods in a van full of public interest lawyers. If you tilt your head and squint, it might look like we solve mysteries like the Scooby-Doo gang.

Also learning/questioning how one goes about living a good, fulfilling life these days, but aren't we all doing that?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sandwiches. Overthinking things. Note: I rarely overthink sandwiches. Or text messages.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"Hey! What's that slim, dark-haired scruffy fellow with the shoes running over there? He's not supposed to be over there at all."
But seriously, I don't know. You're the one looking at the pictures.

Movies: Good Sci Fi (Sunshine), Comedy (Monty Python); Indie whatever (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless etc); interesting documentaries (Paris is burning); fun bad movies (Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call: New Orleans [correction, this is an awesome movie]).
Shows: Game of Thrones, Dr. Who, Some Lawyer Shows, Mad Men, The Wire, Noah's Arc
Music: Lots.
Foods: Most foods with lime, most foods with cheese, some foods with both, ginger or Cayenne pepper on everything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Running Shoes
My slow cooker
A dog (not true but I wish).
Soul Spot Take Out Jerk Chicken
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Truth, my own future, ways to use the vinegar left over from an empty kim-chi jar.

Why it so often seems that people believe that making a choice carries with it a judgement on all other possible choices.

Which superpower would be best to have in daily life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
(applicable to any night where I have time for fun time) Exploring. I love wandering around different neighborhoods and just seeing who's around. I also enjoy bars with sofas and movie theaters with alcohol and people with ideas.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I'm making you laugh, I'm probably nervous. If you're making me nervous I'm probably attracted to you. Shhh! That's a secret.

I can grow a beard that won a contest once nbd.
