My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I secretly wish I were either a poet or Josh Lyman but I would never tell anyone that.

I have an accent. And I'm told it’s a good one, although I fear New York is making me slowly lose it. When I was younger it was full on Swedish chef but growing up in London slowly got rid of that. That's about all the arrogance my adopted British sensibilities will allow.

I fit the third culture kid cliché to a tee. Moved abroad when I was 18, fell in love with the adventure of it and never stopped moving (until now).

I’d like to think I’m generally a fairly laid back and friendly person. My mother tells me she could abandon me on a deserted island and I’d make friends immediately, which is largely why I don’t go on cruises with her.

I have a theory that there’s no such thing as a bad first date, but feel free to prove me wrong.

I get irrationally annoyed by the improper use of adverbs and people who use the word jealous when they mean envious.

I name my house plants.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
PowerPoint slides (depressingly)

Coming up with random quotes to fit any situation (I have an annoying memory that will forget birthdays and to pay my taxes but remember random passages of literature/music that I find interesting)

Making friends with bartenders
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'll do my best with the laundry list below but the reality is my tastes are eclectic and regularly evolving (except for Cilantro which I will hate with the fire of a thousand suns until the day I perish)

Books: Catcher in the Rye, God of small things, End of the Affair, the Dark Tower series, The Glass Palace, Tale of two cities, Great Gatsby, American Psycho. But I also read a lot of trash fiction - Lee Child, John Grisham etc.

Movies: The Rock (guilty pleasure), Wild Strawberries, Babette's Feast, The Prestige, Old School, The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford.

Music: Everything from Opera to Springsteen (OK - I'm obsessed with Springsteen)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
--Sea Turtles
--That buzz you get when you drink a lot of coffee first thing in the morning, get a rush of focused productivity, and feel like anything is possible
--Sunsets (preferably from an airplane window)
--Snooze buttons
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Shoes - and ships - and sealing-wax - cabbages - and kings - why the sea is boiling hot - whether pigs have wings
