My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in NYC, but wouldn't consider myself a typical New Yorker. More polite and easy-going. Sometimes I'm shockingly naive, but I'll recognize it at some point after the fact (probably), and have never fallen for 3-card monty, any ponzi scheme, or the broken glasses scam. I will however buy girl scout cookies for $4/box.

I wish I were ha-ha funny, but my sense of humor's more wry. A co-worker used to say I was "too cool for school" which I took as a compliment, until I finally looked it up one day; meh, English wasn't his first language, so he probably didn't get me.

I enjoy life's absurdities, and have no problem laughing at myself. The stand-up guy that I am, once, I offered to help a mother by carrying her kid stroller down a flight of stairs. Did I mention I'm athletic, but a bit klutzy? And my shoes that day were a little too big and clunky. So, I made it down 96% of the way without any drama. I thought I was on the last step before the platform -- can't see much with a baby stroller in the way -- but it was actually two steps away. When you miss a step, many thoughts go through your head. The one I remember was "Oh, ----!" I stumbled and bumbled, but that kid never touched the ground. Also, I'm a quick learner, so you'll never catch me helping a damsel in distress again.

Misc thoughts:
Grew up in NYC, and don't get it when people only call Manhattan "The City" as if everything else doesn't matter. Hey, what about Queens?! Seriously.

Costco is my all-time favorite store. Not sure I save a ton of money buying giant bags of craisins, but got to love snack samples. Ok, so I’m easy to please.

Lately, I've been thinking about getting a puppy. Got the breed and a name picked out in my head, but still trying to convince myself that I have the time and space for a dog in my life. Mind you the last time I had a pet was as a kid, and my track record with goldfish was quite poor. I either killed with kindness by overfeeding them, or they were doomed no matter what because they came from a generic pet store/fish mill. (I hope I don't sound like jerk because if I really lost my hypothetical puppy, I'd be crushed.)
