Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
For the record, I hate summarizing myself online but here goes
I am a queer trans guy and I live with my long-term partner and our
cat-children. I have a degree in Wildlife/Conservation Biology. I
really enjoy cooking (especially for other people!), hiking,
playing board games, traveling (cheaply). I am online too much for
my own good.
I like interacting with people but I often feel socially awkward,
at least at first. I procrastinate a lot. I often have a horrible
attention span. I'm generally optimistic/upbeat and I tend to give
people the benefit of the doubt. I can sleep anywhere, anytime
(even on rocks in the middle of the day!) I can be a really huge
grump when I am hungry and/or tired (but then, who isn't?). I love
the sun but I hate the heat.
I am originally from Massachusetts but moved to Lafayette to be
with my partner and support them through PhD.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working various seasonal/temporary odd jobs (most recently field
work, retail, and movie theater). Volunteering with local LGBTQ and
social justice groups. Still trying to figure out my long-term
career plans. I am currently considering going back to school to
pursue my M.S. in Education.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking (I especially like making elaborate dinners!). Forgetting
stuff. Making people laugh at my own expense.
Cuddling/hugging/giving affection (or so I have been told! I always
ask first though.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am often wearing some sort of super hero shirt even though I
don't read comics as much as I'd like to. I've also heard my

Books: I like fantasy, sci-fi, and ecology books. Currently
re-reading the Animorphs series (lol nostalgia/childhood fave). On
my to-read list: Evolution's Rainbow - Joan Roughgarden; Sister
Citizen - Melissa Harris-Perry; Redefining Realness - Janet
Movies: I love suspense-thrillers, horror, super hero blockbusters,
cheesy romantic comedies. I don't know, people often think I have
bad taste in movies, probably because I will watch anything :P But
I don't often have the attention span for full-length films unless
I am in a movie theater.
Shows: Star Trek (TNG), Orange is the New Black, Dexter, True
Blood, Scandal, Parks and Recreation, The Office, The L Word,
Adventure Time, Lost Girl, Legend of Korra/ATLA, Sleepy Hollow, The
Walking Dead, Elementaryl, House of Cards, Breaking Bad... the list
Music: Again, I am not very picky. I like stuff ranging from
R&B to country to folk punk to classic rock... a few of my
favorite bands these days include: Mumford & Sons, Nana Grizol,
Defiance Ohio, The Lumineers, Indigo Girls, The Weakerthans, The

internet, affection, sleep, sunshine, birds, humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whether or not I should eat a cheeseburger today. Inter-personal
relationships. The state of the world. Sciency things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sitting at home trying to decide what I want to do (because I am
indecisive). Then I usually opt to (a) just marathon a TV show or
play video games or (b) go out for a beer with friends or maybe
have a game night.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to chat, meet for coffee, or whatever. I have a lot of
free time lately and am open to conversations.
This especially applies if you are queer, gender-bendy,
anti-capitalist, cat-lover, foodie, like nerdy things, and/or
outdoorsie person who likes to eat delicious things, play
board/video games, and are looking for friends. Or if you're just
interested in getting to know me better, I suppose.
I suck at initiating convos. If you'd like to initiate a
conversation with me, I respond best to questions.
