Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I really hate self-summaries but here goes.
I am a queer trans guy and I live with my long-term partner and our
cat-children. I have a degree in Wildlife/Conservation Biology but
I'm also interested in working in education. I really enjoy
cooking, hiking/being outside, playing board games, traveling
(cheaply), playing Skyrim. I am online too much for my own
I like interacting with people but I often feel awkward, at least
I am originally from Massachusetts but moved to Lafayette to be
with my partner and support them through PhD.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently working at an elementary school and loving it! I'm
looking into going back to school for a M.S. in Education. I also
work various seasonal/temporary field jobs studying bird
populations and behavior. In my free time, I volunteer with local
LGBTQ and social justice groups.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking (I especially like making elaborate dinners for large
amounts of people.) Also, one of my friends told me I make the best
fried eggs so there's that.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am often wearing some sort of super hero shirt even though I
don't read comics as much as I'd like to. I've also heard my

Books: I like fantasy, sci-fi, and ecology books. Currently
re-reading the Animorphs series (lol nostalgia/childhood fave). On
my to-read list: Evolution's Rainbow - Joan Roughgarden; Sister
Citizen - Melissa Harris-Perry; Redefining Realness - Janet
Movies: I love suspense-thrillers, horror, super hero blockbusters,
cheesy romantic comedies. I don't know, people often think I have
bad taste in movies, probably because I will watch anything :P But
I don't often have the attention span for full-length films unless
I am in a movie theater.
Shows: Legend of Korra/Avatar, The 100, Elementary, Scandal, Parks
and Recreation, The Office, Adventure Time, Lost Girl, Sleepy
Hollow, House of Cards, Breaking Bad... the list keeps
Music: Again, I am not very picky. I like stuff ranging from
R&B to country to folk punk to classic rock... a few of my
favorite bands these days include: Mumford & Sons, Nana Grizol,
Defiance Ohio, The Lumineers, Indigo Girls, The Weakerthans, The

internet, affection, sleep, sunshine, birds, humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whether or not I should eat a cheeseburger today. Inter-personal

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Relaxing at home with my partner or a small group of friends.
Playing video games or board games. Sometimes going out to the
movies or for drinks.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to chat, meet for coffee, or whatever. I have a lot of
free time lately and am open to conversations.
This especially applies if you are queer, anti-capitalist,
cat-lover, foodie, like nerdy things, and/or outdoorsie person who
likes to eat delicious things, play board/video games, and are
looking for friends. Or if you're just interested in getting to
know me better, I suppose.
I suck at initiating convos. If you'd like to initiate a
conversation with me, I respond best to questions.
