My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been asking myself, "Why not?" lately; I always seem to have more fun when I'm asking that question (incidentally, that's what 'warum nicht' means - thanks to one year of German in high school). Should I go skydiving, even though (actually, because) I'm afraid of heights? Should I take a month off work to do a solo Euro backpacking excursion? Should I [fill-in-the-blank]? The 'why not?' answers typically sound like excuses and hold you back. Fighting those excuses is what I'm about.

Same thing explains my enrollment here at - why not? Hopefully, I'll meet a bunch of fun, positive people that understand me completely when I say, "Fuck it, let's have an adventure."

Also, pull up my Instagram feed - it'll probably give you a better idea of who I am than any words I could write right now "jeffuken".
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to be better.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Rock Band - especially the Beatles version. Essentially, I could fill in for Ringo Starr without skipping a beat.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never really put out a survey, but I'd assume it's my positive energy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Tipping Point - Convinced me that the little things really do matter, Last of the Breed, Atlas Shrugged, The Adjusted American, Freakonomics, SuperFreakonomics, Go Dog Go (I truly love this book. It has maybe the best line in literary history, "It's a Dog Party!" 6-year-old me got pumped up each and every time.), The Story of Ferdinand, Outliers, Moneyball, and Good to Great.

Movies: Forrest Gump - Has anyone done more with so little?

TV: Archer, Modern Family, Party Down, Dexter, Mad Men, Parks & Recreation, Breaking Bad

Food: Something I haven't tried before. Or a burger. I love sampling all the different great restaurants we have here in the city, my favorites would be Zazie, Frances, Osteria Stellina, Pluto's (practically an extension of my kitchen - they must feed me on average 4 times a week), SPQR, Roam Burgers, Spruce (awesome burger), and Aux Delices.

Music: It's a little all over the map - Bob Marley, XX, Ray LaMontagne, Mumford & Sons, Lady Antebellum, Josh Turner, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Eric Clapton, Beatles, Al Green, MGMT, Empire of the Sun, Black Eyed Peas, 2Pac, Jay-Z, Enrique Iglesias, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Bob Dylan.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My three brothers and my sister - it's nice to have four built-in best friends.
2. My parents - we hang out all the time.
3. My friends - while unoriginal, having no friends would obviously be negative.
4. San Francisco - I love this city.
5. Basketball - I watch, I play, I coach, I just love this game.
6. Challenges - you need to be pushed to be better.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I get paid to think about interest rates and currency... so that's what I think about the most, sadly enough.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having a few too many drinks with friends while looking for trouble.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a lifelong dream of being a country music star - the only issue is that I have no discernible talent.
