My self-summary
Getting pictures here is not an easy project. The camera I had was OK, and if you know how to use computers and software it would be a snap. Not me. And I just had someone break into my car and steal the camera, and some food I had not yet brought into the house. So now I have to get another camera, and learn how to do it all again. Hopefully quicker. And better pictures.
Life sucks! Last week I slipped on the ice and dislocated some fingers on my hand. Thought I had broken a few, but nothing was popping though the skin, just sticking out sideways. So I had to put them back in place. No fun. But it wasn't until later that I found I had damaged the screen on my new camera in the fall. So new I hadn't even installed the software for it on my computer. And once again I don't have a camera.

Really need to update this. I love/hate computers, it took me ten minutes to figure out how to add this.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to sort it out. Learning to use cameras, working on my house.
I’m really good at
not this obviously!
The first things people usually notice about me
Depends when we meet. You can't judge a book by it's cover and I'm a perfect example. If I'm working on my house or a car you wouldn't get the same impression that you would if you met me at a gallery or book store. And if I approached you it might be different again.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Too many favorite books to pick from, and too many subjects.

Movies, well I seem to be leaning toward older black and white lately. Just watched The Philadelphia Story the other night and realized how much I liked it, and how much fun you can have with your clothes on. Most movies now seem to think you have to show everything, and to have little respect for their audience.

Music. Still like Springsteen, Dylan, early Stones and Beatles, but is seems that "classic rock" is everywhere, and if I want it I have it at home. So lately it's what I find on CBC, like Kathleen Edwards, who has her own coffee shop now in Stittsville, Tegan and Sara, some jazz, even pop now and then.

No TV. Well, I have a TV, it's just not connected to a cable or satellite. Soon I'll see about building my own antenna.

Food. I'll eat just about anything put in front of me. Not picky. But I do have a great kitchen if anyone likes to cook.
The six things I could never do without
A) art and architecture
B) books, reading and collecting them, used to have a used bookstore.
C) cars, to play with, work on, collect.
D) design, good design makes me happy
E) information, love listening to CBC, reading papers & the net.
F) Passion and intimacy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, what's happening and how it affects me.
On a typical Friday night I am
No typical night. might be working.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have a clue what I'm doing here.
You should message me if
You're someone who it curious about things, someone who asks why?
You have a passion about something, anything. I have to wonder about people who just go with the flow, all the time, and never get involved in anything. I'm not saying I'd want to be included in what you like, maybe, but at least it shows you care about things.
Wow, was just told that red flags went up when she saw I was looking for the ages of 18 to 55. But she couldn't understand that I'd love to be friends with young people, who were born with the internet and can use a smartphone in their sleep. i have trouble turning one on.
You've read something that interests you here in my profile. I'm not the best at initiating conversations.
