When people first meet me, I come off a bit quiet but I warm up quickly. I like finding out new things about people through conversation and activities and I get excited finding out what I have in common with new friends. Having a sense of humor is very important, as I think laughing together with someone else brings you closer to them.

I LOVE music, but I can't play a bit of it and I do not understand the technical aspects of it. I listen to it a lot and I try to go to shows often. I have fun getting people into new music and finding out about new bands in this way. I am a bit of a sci-fi/fantasy nerd. I enjoy movies, reading, concerts and sports.

I have always loved board games but lately I have really enjoyed games that can be played online, like Words with Friends. I am originally from the Bay Area but I have lived in Washington since 1994. I really enjoy watching baseball and football, although I prefer going to a game than watching them on TV. For those that like sports, I am a 49ers and go Oakland A's fan. If you don't like sports, that's OK too!

I try to keep busy. Lately I have been going out as much as possible during the weekends. I usually can be found at either a social gathering or at some sort of event. I also like going to peoples houses or having friends over.

I try to be as considerate as possible towards other people, and I like doing things for my friends. I am a very nostalgic person and this makes me seem a bit sappy to some of my friends. Although I have been guilty of complacency in my life, most recently I have been making a solid effort to improve myself as a human being. There are challenges naturally, but the process is coming along!

I have been running a lot and trying to avoid the protests that my feet have been giving me! I have some interesting stories about some recent mishaps and escaping certain doom that I have experienced while running. I have had a very eventful year! Lots of stories have come out of it.

remembering useless but interesting facts and this makes me better at games like Scene It or Trivial Pursuit. Once I get to know someone, I am pretty good at reading their expressions and mannerisms. I would like to think that I am skilled at word games (Scrabble, etc.) but then someone comes along and beats me bad! As my name suggests, I am good at preparing for any upcoming zombie invasions. Stay away from my brains, zombies!

My sense of humor or my eyes. My sense of humor typically ranges from playful sarcasm to complete silliness. I am often told that I look younger than I actually am.

Books: The Wheel of Time series, A Song of Ice and Fire series, the Lord of the Rings books, John Steinbeck's East of Eden. Right now I am reading Steven Erickson's "Malazan" series.

Movies: The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Seven Samurai, Inception, The Dark Knight, Good Will Hunting, Lawrence of Arabia, the Indiana Jones and Star Wars Movies. I also have a soft spot for movies that I loved as a child. This includes: Neverending Story (ONLY the first one), Streets of Fire (Rock N' Roll fables are the best!), The Red Balloon.

Shows: Dr Who, Torchwood, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Babylon 5, Twin Peaks, Seinfeld, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The X-Files, Parks and Rec, Community, The Office, Battlestar Galactica, The Simpsons, Southpark, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Flight of the Conchords. I heart shows like Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Noir, Naruto, Bleach and many more! I also LOVE old Twilight Zone episodes. When I was a kid, there were 24 marathons on TV around Halloween every year. I could not get enough of it.

Music: All kinds, really. Favorite/most influential bands include Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, The Who, Queen, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana and older Metallica. I go to a lot of concerts. Some of the recent shows that I have been to include Death Cab For Cutie, Typhoon, The Civil Wars, Muse, The xx, and Pearl Jam. Some of my current favorites include: The Decemberists, Flight of the Conchords, Josh Ritter, The Black Keys, The Mars Volta, Joshua James, Tool, Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Meshuggah, Chevelle, Depeche Mode, The Honorary Title, Iron & Wine, LCD Soundsystem, The National, Roberto Cacciapaglia, Death Cab, The Shins, Stars, Woven Hand, and most 80's music!

Food: Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai

Aside from the things that one needs to survive? OK, here goes: Music, humor, a great story to read or watch, family, very good friends, and internet in some form.

Imaginary story lines that stay in my head and serve to keep me entertained. I love getting lost in podcasts like This American Life, The Moth, Risk, and Radiolab. Random questions will often pop into my head and become an itch that needs to be scratched. A recent one? "Is it snowing in Brunswick, Maine right now?" Or there was the time that I wondered how many albums AC/DC has come out with in their long history. This evolved into a listening project.

Playing games with my friends, or possibly watching a movie/show.

I was married but am now divorced. Also, I hate green peppers and onions. If possible, I will avoid them. In 8th grade, I was designated as "shyest boy". The best part about that? The "shyest girl" didn't show up for the picture! Also, I tell really corny jokes. Here is one: What did the frog order at the fast food restaurant? Flies and a croak! Bahahahaha. I'm here all week, folks!
