My self-summary
East coast transplant; spent the first 22 years living in either Florida or NJ. Capable of formulating complex thoughts/ideas, but more often than not it's hard to get a serious sentence out of me. More or less a good dude.

Uh...what else. I like to head down to Santa Cruz on the weekends or cut out of work when the surf is good.
What I’m doing with my life
I do marketing analytics for a tech company.

I am also a certified cat trainer. Calicos, Bengals, Ocecats, Coons, Tabbys...you name it, I train it. Sitting, shaking paws on command, and going for walks are all possible with the proper training**

Aside from that, I still don't know too many people out here, so feel free to shoot me a message if inspiration strikes you.

**Note: I don't actually do this.
I’m really good at
There are a lot of things you can shred: lettuce, cheese. But I prefer guitar strings. I also sing, but I don't pretend to be great at it.
The first things people usually notice about me
How should I know? Even if I went around asking people, the odds of getting an honest answer are pretty slim.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
Don't read much for pleasure anymore, but I rank Kurt Vonnegut's "Sirens of Titan," along with Joseph Heller's "Catch 22" among my all-time favorites. Oh, and Steppenwolf.

Movies:
I'd have to say Waterworld is the single most significant artistic expression that mankind has ever produced -- followed closely by Point Break.

In all honesty though, I don't actually watch a lot of serious movies. Unless it's a masterpiece, I usually have a hard time staying focused beyond the 90 minute mark.

Also, any kind of surfing documentary sucks me in. My favorites are Riding Giants and The Endless Summer 2. Pat O'Connell friggin' ripped in that movie!

TV:
Breaking Bad, Dexter, Always Sunny, Eastbound & Down, Entourage (sadly), Seinfeld, Nowhere Man, Twilight Zone

Music:
Mostly rock...and no, that does not include Nickelback or anything in that particular sub-genre of human excrement.
Examples?
Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, Audioslave, Buckethead, Chris Cornell, Deep Purple, Don Henley, Enuff Z'Nuff, Eric Johnson, Gary Moore, Guns N' Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Walsh, Mother Love Bone, Mr. Big, Nirvana, Ozzy, Pantera, Pearl Jam, Queensryche, Ratt, Rush, Skid Row, Soundgarden, Stevie Ray Vaughan, STP, Temple of the Dog, Van Halen, Winger, Yngwie J. Malmsteen.

In general, I miss the days when real musicians got up on stage, played instruments, and had something meaningful to say. There's nothing wrong with some good old pissed-off rock-- it's far better than getting zonked out on ecstasy and listening to spoiled rich kids press buttons in shitty clubs.

Food:
liquid diet only consisting of any combination of the following: Colt 45, Night Train, Wild Irish Rose (preferably Wild Fruit w/ Ginseng to retain mental acuity), Cisco, and Steel Reserve.
