My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Honest, direct, considerate when afforded consideration. Good sense of humor, though it's on the dry side and not everybody gets it. Energetic.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Sail, Sea Kayak, Windsurf, cycle. Enjoy rainy mornings reading in bed (among other things!). Hike at Ft. Funston regularly (to get my dog fix). Go to the gym on a regular basis. I work hard and play hard.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Carpentry (very handy guy to have around!) and sailing. I'm a considerate lover.
I'm also very good at working with dogs. Some call me a "Dog Whisperer", though I hate the term as it implies that I do something magical that most can't. Usually, it's simply a matter of making an effort to understand the dog, and making a commitment to lead them. Many owners have difficulty with the last part, even when it's in the best interest of the dog and owner. I mention this because - dogs I understand. People, I often don't. Most dogs REALLY like me because I'm open and direct. Ironically, some people don't for the same reasons! If you truly believe in honest communication, we should be fine.

Books: Generally non fiction. I find too many actual subjects interesting to spend much time reading about someone's imagined world.
Movies: Pulp Fiction, Sea Biscuit, Erin Brochovich, Titanic, Red Violin, Devil Wears Prada, Crash, When Harry Met Sally, Waitress, most documentariess. More recently, Zero Dark Thirty and Lincoln. You might notice that some of these films are fictional (though...come to think about it, most are based on true events!). What can I say? Fiction works for me in a movie, not in a book.
TV: Don't watch a lot. Mainly PBS/NPR, loved Frazer, like Big Bang Theory, though it's becom redundant. HATED Seinfeld! I simply don't find neurosisis entertaining in life or on the tube. I don't suffer fools gladly.
Food: I'm a vegetarian, but don't inflict my choice on others, and have little patience for those who do.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Air, food and water. Everything else is a bonus. Silly question in my opinion! Did I mention I'm pragmatic?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Future generations.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Spending time with my lady (I'm not a party animal). Listening to live music or just hanging out at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Everything, just ask! I'm honest (to a fault), and an open book.
