politically radical, religiously lazy, and probably dangerous
My self-summary Propose an edit
I'm a photographer, computer geek, and general tinkerer who always
has a million projects going at once and seldom finishes any of
them. (I'm working on that.) I enjoy being outdoors, both in nature
and in the city. I ride my bike most places and take public
transportation everywhere else.
I'll argue politics or economics with you if you get me started,
but I try not to think about it too much anymore because it keeps
me awake at night. I prefer talking about sociology, anthropology,
philosophy, or religion. Sometimes I think about dropping out of
society, a sort of social suicide, grown-up running-away-from-home
fantasy. If the economy continues to worsen, there's a good chance
I might actually do it.
For the first time in a long time, I'm happy to not be single. That
doesn't mean I'm not free to involve other people in my sex life,
to varying degrees. It just means the decision won't be mine alone.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I don't really know anymore. I had a good thing going in the Marine
Corps, but then that psychotic chimpanzee stole the White House and
I had to call it quits. I went to school for a while but decided it
was a waste of time and money. Now my ambitions are grandiose, like
getting into local politics and giving the Federal government the
middle finger in a way that might provoke a civil war. But mostly,
I'm afraid that if I ever have anything nice, somebody (most likely
wearing a suit) is going to take it away from me.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
I don't read as much as I used to. I need to take that up
again.
Stranger in a Strange Land was my favorite book for a long
time. Actually, Heinlein probably had a more enduring
influence on me than my parents did. Exupéry's Wind, Sand, and
Stars is a more recent favorite. It's one of the few books that
still makes the world seem mysterious. I especially love the
chapter titled Oasis.
I think Terminator 2 is a touching love story, and Fight
Club is the greatest movie ever made. Much better than the
book.
I'm sick of almost all my music. Bright Eyes and the Decemberists
are still somewhat tolerable.
I thrive on cheeseburgers and Americanized Asian cuisine.

How greedy corporations are taking over the world, and how things
are going to be different when I'm President of Cascadia.

Playing World of Warcraft. I'm the GM
a small guild of local players. We've already had our first guild
barbecue, and I want to start doing happy hours. Lovers and
Fighters - Horde - The Venture Co. Come on, you know you want to
roll another alt!
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I'm a terrible pervert. I'll do all kinds of unspeakable things to
you... in bed!
