books: Anything by Jonathan Lethem, Patrick Mcmanus, Robert Jordan, Kerouac, Raymond Carver, David Sedaris. Name of the Wind. I also love thumbing through good cookbooks. I read the stranger a lot. Also crosswords... That counts as reading, right?
Movies: O Brother Where art thou? (or any movie with a bunch of cool music in it), True Romance, Sideways, Tombstone, Lonesome Dove, any movie with zombies in it, Lost in translation, Groundhog's Day (probably my favorite), Fifth Element, Anything with Clint Eastwood or John Wayne. Recently, I've come to enjoy all Nicholas Cage movies. He may not be an actual human.
T.V.: HIMYM, Friends, Arrested Developement, Firefly, Parks & Rec, It's Always Sunny, Futurama, Archer, Scrubs, Louie, Portlandia, Bob's Burgers, Trailer Park Boys. When it comes to technology, my attention span is very short. Less than 30 mins, say.
Music: Too much to actually list but here's some that come to mind- Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Wilco, Jayhawks, Clash, Townes Van Zandt <3, Devil Makes Three, Robbie Fulks, Atmosphere, Ween, Neil Young, Pixies, Dr. Dog, Decemberists, King Kahn & the bbq show, Scott h Biram, LCD Soundsystem, Yo la Tengo, Outkast, Uncle Tupelo, Sam Cooke, music from movies from the 90's. I also love pop country. You should, too.
Food: I love all food, but best thing in the world to eat = hamburger sandwich.
