PS i have recently realized that one (at least) of the 186 or so tabs left open on my old desktop i setup as a server in my mother's basement back home (those 2 CS electives will be put to good use) is OKC so if you notice me popping in and out repeatedly remember there's a locked PC in a basement in a suburb of boston that is frenetically updating and restarting and reloading and i'm nowhere near to do anything about it.
that said;
Bonjour. Originally from beantown. After school I went to work with my uncle's construction company, then a couple of years later (story continues below)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Seriously though, a few years back, due to a fortunate confluence of circumstances and having good people in my life, I attended college in socal and I'm graduating with a BS in molecular Biology this summer. Didn't think this would be the case. Now off to work and then (hopefully) grad school.
update: graduated, roadtrip up and down the west coast, job in boston, illness in the family in new york, temporary leave of absence, hurricane sandy, extended leave of absence, working construction in hurricane relief. f'in full circle
reupdate, Will be back to work in the lab in Cambridge starting February. huzzah etc Meantime backbreaking work and generalized body pain all over. Labor is good.
re re re home at last home at last..
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
construction work to be honest. Claiming credit for unintended double-entendres. I'm surprised at my academic achievements. hm, that still sounds pompous, or lacking in self confidence. It's neither though... Sometimes work pays off though sadly, not always.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
smile? I'm smiley.

ug, that might take a while.
Catcher in the rye. 1984 is not what I'd say an eye opener but a brilliant account of how "history does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" (if I remember correctly)
Not sure why but I like Alice in wonderland still to this day.
Scrubs was really funny, and did you notice? no canned laughter. Took me a bit. Game of thrones currently.
Irish boys from Boston like classic rock. Sooo, Boston? (the band) and the rest of the lot, Led Zeppelin mainly, but Rolling stones as well and most things in between.
Mexican or "mexicali" has become staple food for the past four years so now I end up going to ana's taqueria late nights. I forgot how early everything closes here (over in Boston)
more on that later. I'm drawing so many blanks, studying for finals has me a bit frazzled.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
family, friends, education, the great outdoors, ol' beantown, and the coasts of New England.
(books under education)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what my life will be like, since I didn't think it'd be anything like this to begin with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging out with the gang, late night road trips, early breakfast in neighboring states when at home, probably studying when in LA.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
my friends jokingly refer to me as "good will hunting" I laugh but it stresses me out.
