My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi. I'm Josh. I have my BA and MS from the University of Tennessee. I earn tons of money doing work as a high school history teacher.

I like the outdoors. Hiking and camping are great, though I don't get to do them as much as I'd like. I enjoy music, especially live. I try to see as many good shows as possible. I enjoy travelling and have a love/hate relationship with the Megabus. I spend a lot of time with my friends. I'm currently, though slowly, renovating my historic Folk Victorian/Queen Anne Frankenstein in Old North Knox.

I think I'm pretty easy going. I make my bed everyday. It's nice to accomplish something to begin the day.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I teach, work odd jobs, stay busy, and have fun. I try to say yes.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Trivia, history, tech stuff, creative solutions, being on time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My beard or height.

Music: Widespread Panic, Radiohead, Ben Folds Five, Bela Fleck, Umphrey's McGee, Primus, Phish, Allman Brothers, brass bands, bluegrass (live), Shins, Trampled by Turtles, Broken Bells, and on and on. Grew up on classic rock. Zeppelin, Floyd, ZZ Top, Skynyrd. Been getting into Portugal. The Man. lately. I see a lot of live shows and try to get to a festival every year or two. Just saw my 20th WSP show this past Summer.

Movies: Big Lebowski, Life Aquatic, Emperor's New Groove, Robocop, Super Troopers, Royal Tenenbaums, verious documentaries, and a whole lot of dumb comedies.

TV: I cancelled my TV service, but Arrested Development is awesome. I do Hulu and Netflix...House of Cards, Community, Modern Family. My all time favorite is Hogan's Heroes.

Food: I have tried more new things in the past 3 years than the first 25. I'm open to all sorts of new stuff. Beans and rice are staples.

Books: Catch-22, pretty much anything by Chuck Palahniuk (Rant is a tough read...), Unbroken, The Longest Day. Shit my Day Says was a fun little read, as was Steve Martin's Twitter book. I should read more. Have an entire bookshelf of works to knock out.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee (black)
Good beer
Google Drive
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Starting new projects, even though I may have not finished the last one.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
With friends. Hopefully live music, but often cookouts, drinks, and what-not.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
As a little kid, I thought movies were in black and white because the world was black and white when they were filmed.
