My self-summary
I'm the guy you take to meet your parents, or your boss, or your boss's parents.

You know how everyone was rooting for Duckie in Pretty in Pink but then Andrew McCarthy gets the girl. If only you could take the generous, wonderful personality of Duckie and then good looks and charm of Andrew McCarthy, you'd end up with a guy that I'd most certainly like to hang out with.
What I’m doing with my life
I've run a record company for the past 14 years as a night job. I play guitar in a band for a live talk show on tv and the internet every Wednesday night. I've just started a new podcast.

Things I still on my bucket list include but not limited to: set foot on every continent (3 to go), start a music nonprofit for nyc school kids, own a van gogh, write a book, give a commencement speech and run for public office.
I’m really good at
solving problems
drinking coffee
tomato based sauces
useless trivia
forgetting names
subway directions
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Crime and Punishment, Confederacy of Dunces, Calvin And Hobbes, Old Man and the Sea, Middlesex, Rabbit Run, Let the Great World Spin.

Movies: focus features, fox searchlight, sony picture classics, superhero movies and pixar. If you want to see me openly ball put on Up, Love Actually or The Princess Bride.

Music: Lately all I listen to are podcasts mainly This American Life, The Moth, WTF and Radio Lab. I'm having a lot of trouble not listening to the weakerthans, camera obscura, taylor swift and lately hip hop when I do feel like listening to music.

TV: Phineas & Ferb, Breaking Bad, Lost, The Chronicles of Young Indiana Jones, Newsroom.

Food: try anything twice, just in case the first time it wasn't done well.
The six things I could never do without
Here's a better six question. If you were hosting a dinner party for any six people, living, dead, or fictional, who would you invite?

Hemingway (how fun would it be to drink with Hemingway? A lot.)
Sherlock Holmes
Picasso or Van Gogh, Picasso would be more fun but I'd geek out over Van Gogh more.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What will happen when the robots take over.
Why we don't have teleportation yet and how much better life would be with it.
The best way to walk every street in Manhattan.
On a typical Friday night I am
Here's another better section than this one.

Why we didn't have a second date:

She didn't know who Charles Darwin was.
She dropped out of college because 25 minutes by subway was too far.
She had restraining orders against everyone she ever dated.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My biggest fear in life is failing. No wait, spiders, definitely definitely spiders.
