I am a smarty-pants, 5 years old, and ridiculous.

My Self-Summary

Sometimes I Think I know Exactly who I am. Plowing through that definition, blind and unrelentless. Having said that, I never cease to be
Amazed at the things I constantly discover about my Nature, the reactions I have that surprise me. Even things that have been true for years.

I really am this dramatic. However, in this case, it's a self-summarizing acrostic poem.

What I’m doing with my life

I am a graduate of a performing arts college. My ultimate goal is to be a working actor in canadian theatre. In the meanwhile I teach dance, which has really been a joy this year, I work in a dancewear store, and I also work retail somewhere completely unrelated. I've been getting tired of my miscellaneous retail job and was thinking about going back to school.

I’m really good at

remembering faces. I'm freakishly good at it.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm loud and talking with my hands or making sound effects while trying to describe something, especially the sound effects, people really notice that. Usually it grows on you, I'm told.

I dance around a lot and I walk really fast. I especially noticed that when I went to Ottawa on a weekend trip and was speeding past everyone.

I also talk really fast.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I don't usually have favourites, but I go through phases where I love something intensely and exclusively until I overdo it for myself.
The top played songs on my itunes at the moment are:
... a lot of ballet music because of the start of the dance school year but under thaaaat:
woman like a man - damien rice
your rocky spine - great lake swimmers
lovestoned - justin timberlake
nantes - beirut
dancing shoes - arctic monkeys
hero and leander - adam guettel

I really do like to read: plays, novels, biographies, historical accounts, even some historical fiction, I've been trying to get through "Shake Hands with the Devil" but it wrenches my heart, and I keep needing to take a break. Doesn't help that I read on transit and crying on transit always draws a lot of attention.
I have a very varied collection of books. A few examples I can pick out from here:
Anthony Kiedis' Autobiography. Hypnotism, a History. Earth Rites, fertility rites of ancient Britain. Chuck Klosterman. LOTR. Germaine Greer - Sex and Destiny. Stuff White People Like. Choke - Chuck Palahniuk. Oryx and Crake - Margaret Atwood. Shopaholic. Books on Faery Magick -- I know, eh.

The six things I could never do without

Dancing.
Cheese.
My Family/Friends.
A good stretch.
A breeze.
Underwear.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The future, family history, relationships, the things that shape who we are, how the world is falling apart, fears. How an iPhone probably doesn't work in space. You would never know that I'm a positive person.
