i'm sarcastic. people say i'm easy to talk to. i know a ton of random things, so that might help. my great-great-great-great grandfather was somewhat of a canadian terrorist. the other side of the family tree were bootleggers. i have lived a mostly crime-free life so far. i have extreme hometown pride, just don't ask me to move back there. i like road trips, college sports, wine tastings, haunted houses, my scotch neat, photography, free museum night, and the idea of old coney island.
What I’m doing with my life
i'm an art director at an ad agency. but i get to make stuff up for a living, so it can be fun. some days i want to run away and join a circus. or move to paris and eat cheese.
I’m really good at
trivia. typography. staying up too late. knowing the optimal place
to stand on the subway platform. recommending a beer. driving in
the city. surviving the cyclone once a year (currently overdue).
The first things people usually notice about me
i'm not sure, but people are always asking me for directions.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
books: the book of bunny suicides, anything by edward gorey, david sedaris, maira kalman or steven heller. and occasionally i read books without pictures.
Tv: nightly show, rachel maddow, anything bourdain is on. amy schumer is a genius. friday night lights was the greatest series ever.
food: i grew up in arizona, so mexican is comfort food to me. still searching for a decent tamale here, if you found one, please let me know.
The six things I could never do without
in no particular order...
the new york times
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what i want to be when i grow up.
how to get off the subway tracks if someone pushed me.
where i left my keys.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
i steal promotional beer glasses from bars. like i said, mostly
You should message me if
...you live close enough to grab a drink.
...you found my keys.
