I love walking adventures, traveling, hiking, used book stores, coffee shops, random intellectual conversations, neuroscience, folk music, dogs, drinking tea, contra dancing, the ocean...

I value an openness to new experiences, empathy, honesty, humor, and intellectual curiosity in myself and others.

In my second year of graduate school, working on getting a Ph.D. in neuroscience. I like to take pretty pictures of neurons.

Books: For pleasure reading tend to enjoy a good young adult scifi/fantasy novel (but would also love book suggestions in any genre)

Music: Singer-songwriters, indie rock/pop, classic rock -- (think Dar Williams, Richard Shindell, Girlyman... Belle and Sebastion, the Mountain Goats...the Who, the Beatles..)
I would love to get more into the music scene in SF, but that hasn't seemed to happen yet.

Food: Brunch is my favorite meal (but I always go early because I hate lines)..And of course, for any meal, love checking out all the delicious places in SF, basically any genre of food..

Generally having dinner or drinks with friends or alternatively relaxing at home, watching TV or a movie.

I'm most interested in meeting people with whom I might have a romantic connection, but would also be happy if things turn out better as friends. Not looking to jump into anything however -so would love to grab coffee or tea and enjoy a good conversation and see if we hit it off in whatever capacity.
