I am unmistakable, unclassifiable, and infuriating.

My Self-Summary

I think its safe to say that, for better or for worse, I am unlike anyone you're ever likely to meet. I suspect that would count for many as a plus point as meeting multiple clones of other people would be a tad dull. As a baby I used to frequently vomit on the way to Tesco. I do not do that these days as vomiting and driving is not inconsiderably disagreeable and is most likely prohibited by the highway code.

I was born in Bridgend, South Wales, and spent my very early years living in the calm before the storm of Thatcher's gleeful economic devastation. The bulk of my childhood was spent in the middle east on the tiny island of Bahrain and though I have traveled considerably since then, I have never quite found a place as personally beautiful.

Since those lazy, heat-hazy childhood days I have lived in a number of places in England, making all the cocktail of teenage and young-adult mistakes that mix together to form the person that metaphorically stands before you. After school I went to university to study Computer Science, but health problems scuppered my attempt in the final year. A few subsequent years spent preparing food at a pub restaurant and getting my finances a tad healthier again, lead me back for a second crack at the further-education whip. Despite an emotional hurricane during my university years I graduated in January of 2007 with a 2.1 grade in Music Production. I am currently working in a local recording studio, learning the tricks of the trade and planning to seize control of the music industry via insidious means.

As well as a passion for all areas of music production (especially mixing), I enjoy giving myself a broad and happily unconventional self-education, with more interests than is particularly healthy. I am particularly fond of chinese martial arts and train in Wing Chun Kung Fu.

I like quality beers, Speyside Single Malt Whisky, rare chocolate, emotionally bombastic music, passion for life and women with the force and chaotic complexity of a tornado.

What I’m doing with my life

Having graduated in January with a 2.1 degree in Music Production, I spent a year doing a variety of soul-destroying menial temp positions whilst volunteering at a local recording studio. The voluntary effort paid off as I have been employed there fulltime to this day.

This is where the fun begins.......

I’m really good at

Getting myself lost, waiting patiently, grinning evilly, listening.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm really not sure. I suspect that what people first notice about me is more of a reflection on their own personality than any particular feature on my part. I've never been one for dressing like a cliche of my interests (that'd be a right mess as I am interested in too many different things). I've been told that people like my smile, though that might just be amusement on their part as it is rather comical.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: I do tend to generally see books as a source of learning rather than entertainment. This is probably because I am rather demanding and critical when it comes to stories. The world is full of stories, but comparatively few are told by genuine storytellers. Anyway, here's a list of 10 books that mean something to me.

1. 'Songs Of A Dead Dreamer' - Thomas Ligotti 2. 'The Outsider' - Albert Camus 3. 'Hop Gar Mantis Kung Fu: A Science of Combat' - Steve Richards 4. 'The Virtue Of Selfishness' - Ayn Rand 5. 'The Whitsun Weddings' - Philip Larkin 6. 'Full Facts Book Of Cold Reading' - Ian Rowland 7. 'A Game Of You' - Neil Gaiman 8. 'The Satanic Bible' - Anton LaVey 9. 'The Art Of Producing' - D.Gibson & M Curtis 10. 'Neuromancer' - William Gibson

Films: I think in general I prefer TV series to films. I enjoy immersing myself in long, epic storylines. However, here are 10 films that I really enjoy.

1. The Wicker Man 2. House Of Flying Daggers 3. The Ninth Gate 4. LOTR Trilogy 5. Before Sunrise/Before Sunset 6. Police Story 7. Rosemary's Baby 8. Ong Bak 9. The Seven Samurai 10. The Pianist

Music: Music is very important in my life and my music taste is extensive (and some would say perversely varied). My favourite band are the Manic Street Preachers but they are hardly representative of what I like. There's far too many bands/artists to list here so I'll put down 10 examples of musician that I like:

1. Dissection 2. Thea Gilmore 3. The Wildhearts 4. Diamanda Galas 5. Massive Attack 6. Nine Inch Nails 7. Girls Aloud 8. Emperor 9. Emilie Autumn 10. Merzbow

Food: I worked doing food prep in a pub restaurant kitchen for a number of years, as well as having always cooked my own food for as long as I remember. Growing up in an environment where the barbeque was ever present, a lot of what I enjoy is best cooked al fresco. Here are 10 dishes that I particularly enjoy.

1. Chicken Rizzala 2. Coq Au Vin 3. Barbequed lamb with rosemary and garlic 4. Fajitas! 5. Barbequed Rainbow Trout stuffed with dill and lemon 6. Lamb Rogan Josh 7. Pierogi 8. Shepherd's Pie with potato/celeriac/cheese mash 9. Swordfish topped with fresh pesto 10. Crispy Shredded Beef in sweet n sour chilli sauce

The six things I could never do without

1. My Sanity - Its tenuous at times but by and large sanity is rather useful. 2. My 'Get Out Of Jail Free' Card - You never know when it might come in handy. 3. My Hopes - These keep me focussed. Hopes are pointless unless you attempt to cash them in for a bit of reality though. 4. My Ambition - This keeps me moving forward. Standing still is the worst possible situation to be in. 5. My Reason - The lack of reason in the world at large is terrifying. At least my little corner of existence generally makes sense. 6. My Smile - It is my secret weapon, brought out for special occasions.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Monica Bellucci, chocolate, success and how to achieve it, friends, defeating enemies quickly and efficiently, rumpy-pumpy, blue nail varnish wearers, ultimate power.

On a typical Friday night I am

Despite my sedate lifestyle at this point in time, I still manage to avoid "typical".

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've never been dogging, but I wonder if you have.

You should message me if

You fancy being infuriated and intelligently occupied in equal measure.
