My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm in an open relationship with findbeast. She's an amazing, open, honest, authentic human being that makes me feel safe. I am a lucky man. :D We are looking for a few awesome, interesting, kind, emotionally healthy couples for FWB. Benefits include board games, dinners, adventures. :D I'm looking for new connections with awesome people.

I am an easy going guy that just wants to live well, simply, be surrounded by good people, and have interesting work to do. I usually have too many crafty projects going on, and that's just how I like it.

I'd rather spend an evening on the beach playing music around a campfire with friends, or spend time with our legs crossed reading a good book in the shade than go shopping. I don't own very much Stuff, and I like it that way.

I built my own Tiny House, and am starting a Tiny House co-op in Portland with some amazing friends. Edit: OMG I love living with awesome people!

I only buy secondhand clothing or clothing made well. Good running shoes are hard to shop for when you're a conscious consumer. :D

I enjoy hiking, trail running, riding my bicycle, tinkering, playing music, listening to live music, dancing, gardening, reading, playing in my shop, etc. I own a sewing machine and know how to use it. I'm trying to stick to a morning yoga routine. I can crochet.

I'm a bit of a daydreamer, but I put my daydreams into action. I think failure is a good thing. Better to make the attempt than never try.

I'm a firm believer that there is no one correct way to live. Live and let live. As an atheist, if anything is sacred, it should be choice.... And the Earth, because you have to love your Mother or you're a dick.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am starting a Tiny House co-op in Portland
I am open sourcing the design for a CNC wood mill.
I am growing a business making cigar box instruments.
I'm attempting to start an electric barbie jeep racing group in Portland.
I do volunteer work weekly down at Free Geek.
I'm in a group of folks trying to lobby to make Tiny Houses legal.
I work with Wolf PAC to get money out of politics.
I'm halfway through an electrical engineering degree.
I'm paring down my Stuff. Everything fits in my car pretty easily now. Getting rid of my books was Painful..... But I want to be the kind of person that visits the Library anyway.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at building/crafting things and not worrying.

I'm also really good at not knowing how to do stuff, consulting the internet until I DO know how to do stuff, and then doing it. I think it's a GREAT time to be alive, just for this, and I'm glad I'm old enough to remember a time when we had to go to the library for knowledge just so I fully appreciate what humanity has now.

I have spent the last decade working with folks that identify as conservative. I do not. I've gotten good at recognizing when I'm reacting instead of listening, and have come to the conclusion that you can't change people. The best you can do is understand, extend empathy, be an example, and bust stereotypes. When you argue, you get defensiveness. When you listen you gain trust. I'm not always good at this, but I see it, and that helps.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm usually whistling and smiling. I don't own a comb and I cut my own hair. :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Oh, naming a favorite is too hard. It's all dependant on mood.

I love good scifi and fantasy, and occasionally BAD scifi and fantasy. It's a thin line. :D Terry Pratchet? The old Conan stories? Barbara Kingsolver? Cory Doctorow? Ishmael? Ender's Shadow? I enjoy non fiction if it's well written and interesting. The Selfish Gene? Omnivore's Dilemma? Sex at Dawn? I love reading up on sustainable tech too. It's usually so.... beautiful. :D

I don't own a TV, but I am rather addicted to Game of Thrones(I visit my friend with the giant TV). I grew up with Dr. Who, and have really enjoyed the new ones. Everyone raves about Tenant(and rightly), but Eccleston doesn't get enough love. :D Miyazaki seems incapable of making a bad film.

I enjoy all music, but love bluegrass, folk, and good jazz. I love Miz Kitty's Parlour Show, Vagabond Opera, and when I need a quick fix of bluegrass/old timey, I hit up the bubbaguitar calendar and pick something random. My car radio is set to NPR, KBOO, and KMHD(local jazz station). When I'm down, I watch/listen to Playing For Change, which always cheers me up.

As for food? I have a favorite. Anything from Proper Eats. A bowl of Mac from Le Bistro Montage is pretty good too.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends, my guitar, my laptop, an internet connection, and my bicycle. That's only five. :)

I guess the last would be meaningful work. I want to do work that is rewarding and gives back. I currently work for "The Man", and that's starting to suck. I have a plan, and it's underway. :D
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I really should be practicing my guitar.....

I am really enjoying the community around Tiny Houses. I got a LOT of help building mine, and am helping people build theirs. I've gotten to know a lot of cool people and have expanded my Community.

I spend a lot of time thinking about CNC machines, my CBG business, programming basics, politics, and Nothing. I really do like to veg with a good book.

Esoterically, I also muse about the importance of infrastructure to our society. I do not think this gets enough attention from people.

Also, I grew up very Rural. I've been trying to examine my own attitudes. I want to be a good person, and hanging out with feminists and People That Give A Shit has made me a little introspective. This runs into my own propensity to just say "No Worries" and ... well, not worry. In short, I'm engaged in a melee with my own ego. I'm not sure who's winning, but I'm learning a lot. :D

When did everyone turn Poly-amorous. Is Poly-Lustorous(shiny?) a thing? :D No worries, but it's a fascinating cultural trend.

I spend a lot of time thinking about waste. I went off grid. I had to think about this. Greywater systems and composting toilets make you think about what you put down your drains.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm not a partier. Hanging out with friends, eating yummy food, and playing stupid board games is a perfect night for me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am soooo afraid of heights. Yes, to the point that my ability to go climbing is restricted. Grrr...

I want to be a super villain.

I have a high libido. I've experimented a bit, but found that Fantasy is usually better than Reality. :D Really, sex on the beach is SANDY. Ow. I have found that I need my brain stroked. I enjoy sensuality, taking my time, exploring, nibbling, .... Ahem. I like sensuality. I like sex. I enjoy roleplaying and erotic literature. I'm GGG. It's good when it's liberating and safe. Porn? Sure, but I don't want my money to support a fucked up industry so I try to be careful about my consumption. I only boff people I like and respect. I just want to be honest about it. I won't be happy with once a week vanilla sex and communication is so very important on this topic. I'm a little afraid that writing this here is driving people away. Really, I think about lots of stuff besides sex. It's just important to me to be honest about it.
