My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Necessary foreword: Generally, I won't respond to people who live outside of Austin. That said, some of my best friends I've made from different cities who messaged me about common interests! I also won't respond if we have nothing established in common. I will respond if you're interested/read in social justice, or a POC, or queer, or a lady, and especially all of the above.

Austin transplant from Plano, UT grad from Plan II/English. I love going on dates, whatever that means to you: board games, movie night, walking down the park, futzing around in a library, setting things on fire in the backyard, robbing a museum, just casual things.

I love deep conversation and fart jokes. Especially at the same time.

I'm a pretty outgoing introvert, which means I'll chat up any random stranger for hours but I prefer staying in with close friends ogling naked bodies on Game of Thrones and talking about life. Becoming a more educated person about oppression, power, and subversion, and money (because I like money).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I get a massive headrush when learning about new people. As for hobbies....knitting lace, getting back into powerlifting, learning ASL (would love to meet someone to practice signing with), physical stuff like hiking. I'm very much into exploring activities that have gendered histories. Gender is a performance, said Butler (citation needed), and I like to really act it out. I've got very ladylike Victorian lolita days and super butch low-budget 80's movie denim days.

Working as a manager in dat corporate lyf.

When I have free time I'm usually at home writing on some projects, mainly short stories (would love to hear your favorite ones). Currently working on building my tea collection, using my Aeropress poorly.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
This question is way more fun if I tell you what I'm bad at: getting cultural references, straightening my hair, flirting with cute girls, starting big books and then not eating until I'm done, getting my cats to behave, living up to my Chinese immigrant mother's expectations of me becoming a leader in the medical field oops
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm really proud of my resting bitch face.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - One Hundred Years of Solitude, Sense and Sensibility, Shades of Grey (BY JASPER FFORDE, not the erotica!)...I really like sci-fi and post-apocalyptic stuff, but right now the market's inundated with silly romantic YA novels.

Movies - One of my many talents is crying during every movie I watch. Like Fast and the Furious.

Music - My perfect Pandora station: Chopin, Gottschalk, Clazziquai (a Korean alternative/experimental band), Janelle Monae, Justice, and Bitter:Sweet

Shows - There is no show I watch that distinguishes me from the whole set of slightly hipstery, austinite doctor-who-and-game-of-thrones crowd. Guilty pleasure: Scandal. Brazen pleasure: RuPaul's Drag Race. I love me a documentary show, though.

Food - I cook a lot. Holla at me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. my extensive collection of pens
2. coconut-flavored sunflower seeds
3. cats
5. bobby pins
6. sriracha
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to be a better person. Social justice and action work. Books I'm reading. New ways to socialize with people. How nice it feels to make out with somebody you're mentally intimate with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Organizing my brain, hanging out intimately with friends, catching up on shows, planning Saturday. I get along well with people who are both very social and not too social at all.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I have two laughs: a pretty giggle that I practiced in the mirror in my insecure teenage years and a uncontrollable guffaw so crude that I'll actually drool.

Also, I'm currently in a poly relationship. Right now I'm seeing a couple of people casually aside from my boyfriend, and have funtimes with friends too, so if you message me, please keep that in mind. I am very NSA, so overtures about how you'll treat me like a princess and be loyal to me, whereas kind in intention, are meaningless. Also, I'm pretty kink+ so I'd love to hear if you've got an out-of-the-box one!
You should message me if

You wanna do activities (I mean this in both the literal sense and the Stepbrothers sense)...or if you're a lover of queer politics, or a reader of fantastical things, or a terminally ill and extremely rich person.

I generally respond to people with something interesting or funny to say, whether it's about you or me or the history of potato farming. Once again, if you're queer, femme, POC, and especially all three I'll always respond.
