My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Love my job. It's crazy but rewarding. Designer, writer, reader, love biking, running, camping, learning. Owner of a stray cat named Lindsay Lohan. A nerd. I'm kind of a goofball, as you can tell by my extra serious pictures. But really: Humor and laughter are key!

I'm at a really great place in my life and career and wanting to find someone similarly situated.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to travel more and do new things (hence, here I am!). I work in publishing and find my job incredibly rewarding. Plus, I get to work with writers, designers, editors, artists, teachers ... it's amazing.

I'm very interested in the world and current events, from bad, sad, fun pop culture (Gawker, Buzzfeed, Reddit) to the State of the Union address-level Important Stuff (NPR, Mental Floss, TED Talks—dubious as they may be—etc.). I keep up with the news and have to stay informed—again, with the important AND the superfluous. It's a two-edged sword, I guess.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Solving problems on the page. Blank or otherwise. It's a vocation but also kind of an obsession. I enjoy fixing things and finding solutions to issues. Listening to a batch of issues/snags/hiccups and synthesizing to find a proper solution. All with minimal stress. In fact, it's what keeps me moving. Having interesting conversations about anything, but I love talking pop culture, theories, movies, scientific discoveries/facts/probabilities, etc. I'm mostly an optimist and try to keep a clear head on the bad news, though, and hope to do My Small Part in helping out.

Really motivated by self-improvement and always looking for ways to better myself. These aren't necessarily a list of stated goals (though those are good), but trying to learn from life and actively adjust. I do work out but it's not a defining characteristic, nor a juiced-up vanity play. I just like to keep fit.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is a question I've never asked anyone. A good question to answer if we meet.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family & friends.
Coffee.
Books.
Being active but also knowing how to relax.
Learning.
My imagination.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Words and pictures (work related) and what to eat, where to go, should I do a productive thing or the opposite. Normal stuff. How to be healthier. How to be kinder. (Find George Saunders' Syracuse commencement address; it's amazing in its simplicity.)

... What I'm going to try and make next with the awesome new rice cooker/steamer I got for Xmas.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It varies! If I'm home I'm watching Netflix or reading a book or rearranging things. (That last one sounds odd, I know, but I get bored easily sometimes.) If I'm out, a show or hanging with friends.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to go for a coffee, a drink, a bike ride, or if you share some of my interests. I'm interested in people with ambition and goals. Happy and settled is important, too—very important, in fact, as long as you love to keep learning new things.
