I am a Colorado native and it should go without saying that I love being out in the CO sunshine (rain, snow). Right now I am mostly into backpacking, climbing and trail running with my 3 year old cattle dog mix, Luna.
I am a nerdish type- I work at an ecology lab and love anything science. I also love to read and write and maybe get down on some Netflix.
What I’m doing with my life
Graduate school for ecology
I’m really good at
Painting and drawing..secret skill.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes and maybe that I blush at the drop of a hat.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books, books, books: I am working on Speaker for the Dead and rereading Cat's Cradle. I just finished Good Omens and American Gods and am beginning to really love Neil Gaiman. I love sci-fi and fantasy (Lord of the Rings, Dune, Wheel of Time, Song of Ice and Fire)
Movies/shows: Well, I'm the most enormous Lord of the Rings fan. Shouldn't that go under the "Most embarrassing" category? I'm a huge fan of Mad Max so I'm really excited about the new one right now. Visually striking movies always get me (the Fountain). Watching Firefly is my perfect date. Game of Thrones, Vikings, Last Week Tonight, Archer, Futurama, Girls.
Music: I like a lot of stuff and am definitely starting to get into some mellower music Alt-J, TV on The Radio, Daughter. Biggest guilty pleasure is Iggy Azalea at the moment. Some quick favorites are Tool, Sepultura, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Pink Floyd..obviously some Steve Miller Band.
The six things I could never do without
1. Being outside
2. Good friends
3. Fruits and vegetables
6. Good beer
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
