What I’m doing with my life
Still trying after three years or so to make the transition from
being a student to a proper grown-up. I made some big changes
recently, moving to Bristol from my university city of Swansea and
getting my first car and a better job but I'm still not totally
sure I'm where I want to be.
Until I decide what I actually want to do with my life I'm pretty much trying to absorb knowledge and culture any way I can - films, books, music, mucking about on the internet. I'm interested in everything so I'm an expert in nothing.

is that apparently I look like Gaz off of Supergrass. Though I think he has a
beard at the moment, but I don't.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
a) Just finished World War Z and absolutely loved it.
Before that was Infinite Jest which is fantastic
but pretty hard going at 1000+ pages of very small print. A couple
of Neil Gaiman
novels are up next after enjoying American Gods recently. I've got
the full set of Narnia books somewhere which I loved as a
kid and probably still would if I could find them and read them
again. I've been admitting my inner geek recently and reading some
sci-fi books, Greg
Egan's stuff is particularly good. Hitch-hiker's
Guide to the Galaxy is always going to be a classic.
b) Strictly speaking this should be changing all the time, I watch a lot of films and I can be very fickle about my favourites. A few that stick in the memory are Groundhog Day(At least partly 'cos it's set on my birthday) , Brick, High Fifelity, In Bruges, The Big Lebowski, Superbad, Transformers (Yes, I know), City of God, and Old Boy
c) Flaming Lips, Elbow, Super Furry Animals, Mr Scruff, Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd REM, MGMT, Faithless, Kings of Leon
d) Curry. Not too spicy, mind.
