My self-summary
I'm prone to asymmetrical essay construction.

I don't know, am I supposed to charm your pants off here, or convey myself accurately? I won't take my pants off for me, but I'm pretty over myself. (I wish I'd call me back)

I tend to use wishy washy terms like 'tend' so as not to ever be wrong.

What I’m doing with my life
I wait tables and entertain the concept of returning to scientific endeavours. As of now, I'm planning on taking some courses at UIC in physics and math, and then applying to engineering programs to find a practical use for my physics background this coming fall (2012). I am omnibibulous (thanks H.L.) and omni...curious (insert latinate form of curious here). Really, I'm just here for the amuse bouche.

I’m really good at
Reading and arithmetic. Two out of three ain't bad. Not too bad with accents although I usually need a drink or two for that. And I can sing, do accents, juggle, dance (not really), answer trivia, and musicify, and aesthetic sense, blah blah.

The first things people usually notice about me
My height and, later, how I surprise them. I like to think I ask well thought questions too. People tell me I dress like a professor, which I don't really cultivate, but don't avoid either. (Most lately it was that I looked as though David Lynch was teaching critical theory. Thanks for the great haircut Ben!)

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Let's just choose to be pleased when we alight upon a topic or author we enjoy in common. I love Tolstoy and Jane Austen. I get enough reality with the news. I'm not really up on the latest music, a good portion of my musical life has been spent studying music from before my birth. I'm not extensively well read, but pretty well exposed for someone who never studied the humanities with any scholastic bent.

The six things I could never do without
Very few things, but two of them are something to read and a bathtub to read it in. Beyond that, a sense of purpose, living outside myself even for moments at a time, community (choral and otherwise), and novelty. Novelty is closely tied with intellectual stimulation of some sort or another. As long as I'm still learning, and engaging with others, I'm quite happy.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
How can I get back to Europe or New Zealand again?
Reexamining the past, and constructing future interpersonal exchanges.

Mostly, deconstructing and analyzing. I mean, my mind is on, I may as well use it for something. God save a critic.

Additionally, I spend a lot of time constructing and anticipating conversations with people that will never happen.

On a typical Friday night I am
Some combination of slanging and explaining drinks, yo. Really,
trying to understand what was said to me and struggling to
enunciate back. That means that I am enabling others, and generally
doing it well.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
First I click unacceptable answers, then I click 'about sex'
Oh, and I'm more near sighted than you. Trust me.
