So yeah, the last few years have been crazy. Getting settled down now though. New flat, back in Winchester where my heart is, good job working decent hours rather than the pub manager's life I've had for a decade, back in the same area as my friends. Hoping to find someone who shares my outlook on life and who doesn't judge me too much for being a huge, unabashed geek.
I work for Winchester City Council, the first time I've settled into a regular pattern and it means I've actually been able reclaim my social life.
I'm a decent cook and love to play host.
I tabletop game, D20 game and LARP occasionaly.
Fortunatly I've avoided the terminal social awkwardness usually assosiated with these passtimes.
I'm a rocker, slightly metal but not enough according to some friends.
I'm friendly, social, outgoing and loyal, way past the 'party all the time' part of my life. I tend to prefer a cup of tea and a chat to going out these days, not to say that there is no room for a rock club or two once in a while.
I love animals but don't have any.
I'd like to have kids one day, but not for a good while yet.
I am an atheist anti-theist and damn serious about it.
I have quite a few tattoos and plans for a lot more! No piercings though.
I love to read; fantasy and sci-fi mainly but some more serious stuff does make it in.
And that's about it. Anything else you'd like to know just ask.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After spending a year managing a lovely Cornish country pub I have upended my life once again and made the move back to civilisation. I have a job I love and am back close to many of my favourite people.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking. I love being in the kitchen.

Going on adventures.

Being me. In fact, it's quite dificult to stop me being me most of the time, which isn't a bad thing. :D

Also, anything geeky. Especially games. Except for the fact I loose a lot. But I'm a very good looser. :D
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Honestly, I have no idea. Probably that I'm a big chap, but I'd prefer to lean towards cuddly. My beard has reached impressive length now and occasionally gets braided Viking style.I'm generally very outgoing and friendly. I enjoy making people laugh, but sometimes I just get cringes. :P

I could spend all night filling this out.

Bram Stoker's Dracula, 1984, A Brave New World, The Zombie Survival Guide, anything by Terry Pratchett, The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, any James Herriot book, Game of Thrones. Many many more.

Friends, Scrubs, Firefly, Stargate, the Inks (miami, la, london), Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Chuck, Gilmore Girls, Myth Busters, Castle, Sherlock, Bones, American Dad.

Horror in generall. But seriously, most things, from The Transporter to Bridget Jones, from Haloween to Love Actually. Not a fan of silly comedies though. Good comedy needs a touch of British represion.

Everything from AC/DC to ZZ Top, from Eric Clapton to Katie Melua. Not a fan of anything clubby though, with a few exceptions.

I try anything once. But I don't like olives or peppers (chillies however I love). Of course, I'd love someone to change my mind by making them taste good somehow.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Tricky. I like to think that I'd do ok if all modern conveniance disappeared overnight. But if I have to choose 6...

My iPhone. I love it a little too much I think.
My kettle. Tea is important to life!
My tool box. It gives me a feeling of machismo I'd otherwise struggle to achieve.

I'm definatly running out of stuff here....

My door key. It would probably not be fun without that.
Lightbulbs. I like reading at night.
Clothes. Not sure I'd do too well running around day after day as nature intended......
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
So very many diferent things. My mind is generally a whirling mess. Quite often geeky things though, like the contingency plan for the zombie appocolypse...
Or a way to bring about the zombie appocolypse...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
These days, not a great deal. Either socialising/geeking or chilling out with a film, documentary, book or TV.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am Batman.

And sometimes Spartacus.

Also, crazy. Mostly I am crazy. :p

Once I was Aquaman, but it turns out he's lame so I gave it up.
