I'm a gem (did I just say I'm a gem?) because everyone loves having fun with someone creative, passionate, free-spirited and spontaneous, and they love being quiet with someone thoughtful, perceptive, and insightful. i love to be out experiencing the world and learning as many new things as i can. i'm very warm and nurturing but without squashing anyone's independence or individuality. I adore being swept away in new ideas and I'm in love with the wind.

back-alley psychoanalysis, laughing, being unmaterialistic except for when i am, being an exhibitionist, baking, matching colors, designing my own clothes, seeing the good in people, charming the pants off everyone, and hand-knitting beer(or sometimes wine) bottle cozies.

the people who don't look above and over my head entirely usually first notice that my nickname of 'little miss tinypants' is pretty appropriate. also, my hair.

disclaimer... i haven't updated this part in awhile so they're all old. but still awesome. i shall list some new ones someday, but today is not that day.

a. books: if it's a book, i want to read it. i love richard brautigan, roald dahl, the little prince, leonard cohen, and anais nin notably. i read all the time and can't get enough.

b. movies: charlie and the chocolate factory, willy wonka and the chocolate factory, waking life, american beauty, i heart huckabees, what the bleep, the life aquatic, slackers, hellboy, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, closer, crash, napolean dynamite, finding neverland, amelie, bowling for columbine, donnie darko, the muppet movies, yellow submarine, the iron giant, ever after, the princess bride, lost in translation, the dark crystal, labyrinth, edward scissorhands, pirates of the caribbean, there's tons i'm missing (and this list is super old) but basically anything that's expressionary and artistic and/or makes one think..(well, minus hellboy. that's just all about the snarky psychic fishman.)

c. music: margot & the nuclear so and sos, radiohead, the white stripes, slowmotion red, sigur ros, fiona apple, alison kraus, black rebel motorcycle club, the faint, bright eyes, tori amos, elliott smith, the flaming lips, the killers, the shins, the strokes, NIN, the smiths, bjork, smashing pumpkins, ok go, placebo, twenty something white guys, damien rice, the weakerthans, fugazi, wilco, franz ferdinand, the arcade fire, the moody blues, any/all permutations of crosby, stills, nash and young, jim croce, bob dylan, the wallflowers, i'm missing a whole bunch but that should give you an idea.

d. foods: i'm a sugar monster (because i'm so sweet? heehee) and i like all kinds of foods but don't care for meat very much. however, it could be possible to win my heart with an especially well-prepared mango curry with tons of naan.

you can spell and use grammar properly! you understand that IMing someone every single damn time they log on screams "desperate and needy!!!" and thus don't do it. you're someone intelligent and creative who loves to share their view of the world.. someone to connect with, who knows how to resonate. artists, writers, musicians, poets, and science geeks encouraged to apply.
