My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I recently returned to the city after teaching upstate for two years. I now spend my time as a substitute for the NYC public school system loving every moment of what I do.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working as an educator, but when I am not doing that, I can be found at the theatre or a concert or even a sports game.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
self deprecating humor, making others laugh and finding cheap tickets to any sort of entertainment you can think of.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I never know how to answer this one.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Too many to list, love a good story that can sweep me awawy.
TV shows Law and Order SVU

Music (this includes composers): Guster, Phish, The Who

Theatre (this is an important part of my life)

Plays: August: Osage County, The Pillowman, Doubt

Musicals: Les Miserables, Sunday In The Park With George, Once

Movies: Big, Star Wars, A Night at the Opera
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family for sure (Yeah, I know that they are more of a "who" rather than a "what." But, you get the general ideal.)

New York City. After traveling and living in different parts of the country for extended periods, there is, to me, nothing like coming home to the city. Love it.

Music. Not picky about it, can find something good in every genre (I am aware of the potential cliche here.) Leaving home without something to listen to makes me die a little inside (so do other things, but this is, of course an exaggeration.)

Well written plays or movies. I love writing, love the theatre and movies, and find myself going more for indie films because I feel that they are better written than most of the mainstream stuff Hollywood has to offer. Same with plays as well.

My Iphone. Like everyone else, I need it for music and other helpful apps. I cry a little if it dies on me or I left it at home.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Education reform, what new movie or show to see. Or I can be thinking about what book to read next and if I remembered where I put my towel (bonus points if you get the deference)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Same thing I do every night, try to take over the world. Hehe.

In all honesty I am not one for plans and usually just wing it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My social life is lacking ever since I came back about a month ago after living upstate for two years. It was hard to keep in touch with the friends that I had here while I was upstate, and when I saw them after I came back, they all grew into people that I didn't like. So, I'm trying to revamp things in that regard.
