I am open-minded, silly, and polyamorous.
My Self-Summary
I'm a computer programmer with a really busy life full of lots of
wonderful people. I have lots of crafty/artsy hobbies. And I'm
polyamorous.
I'm currently in a committed open relationship and a long term
casual relationship, but you may consider me available and
date-able if you wish (although my actual time availability varies,
sometimes my schedule just doesn't have room for any new people). I
pride myself on being an honest and direct communicator.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm trying to expand my social network (and succeeding). I've met a
lot of really wonderful people since moving to Vancouver in 2007
and I'm grateful to have them in my life.
I'm trying to keep myself motivated at work and make sure not to be
too much of a slacker. I like my job, but career is not the main
focus of my life right now. (If you want to know what IS the main
focus, you should read my journal post called My Life
Priorities).
I teach
felting
part time at a local
wool store (yes, they exist!). I sell stuff
that I make on Etsy just for fun (or sometimes I trade with other
artists).
I always make sure that I have one or two nights per week to spend
alone in my apartment, doing things just for me (e.g. take a hot
bath, watch bad movies). Having a sense of home is very important
to me, so I make sure not to let my social life take over every
single night. Sometimes I just like to bond with my apartment.
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
People tend to quickly notice my intelligence despite my best
efforts.
I'm also told I have a wonderful smile.
I can be a bit competitive and flirtatious.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I confess I do not read very much, though I'm not sure why. Maybe
I'm just too busy with other things. My friends like to tease me
about it.
Movies:
-I'm a big fan of horror and science fiction movies (or movies
about the apocalypse). I especially like vampires, zombies, and
space movies.. (not necessarily all in the same movie)
-I also like thought-provoking movies like Shawshank Redemption,
the Butterfly Effect, etc
-Dark comedies like The Adams Family and Clue...
-LOTR, X-men, Princess Bride, Fight Club, 10th Kingdom (bonus
points if you've even heard of it), the Alien movies, the Matrix
movies, Jurassic park...
What can you tell about someone by their movie tastes anyway? If
you don't like the same movies I'll watch them with someone else,
no biggie.
Music: I like alternative, metal, pop, rock, country.. quite a wide
range. The band with the most number of songs in my itunes is
Metallica.
Food: Wide variety, I'm pretty open-minded. Sushi, Italian, French,
Chinese, Indian.. I like spicy food.
and chocolate. What woman doesn't like chocolate?
I also like beer, wine, coffee, tea... my favorite beverage is chai
tea latte (or, on some days, bubble tea).
The six things I could never do without
love, hugs, expression through art, rain, communication, laughter
I spend a lot of time thinking about
sex, work, complex relationships between friends, how my mind is
going to work when I get old
On a typical Friday night I am
cuddling with one of my loves watching a funny tv show or curled up
on the couch alone with my sketchpad.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I will admit to just about anything (but not somewhere that my mom
may someday see it!)
I suppose you'll have to start a conversation with me to get these
answers.
Personal questions are not a problem.
You should message me if
You think I'm date-able and don't have a problem with
polyamory.
