My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Time for some summer fun and adventure!

I'm open, intellectual, and excited about what the future might bring. I believe that all of our experiences are important, both the positive and negative, because without the whole spectrum we wouldn't be who we are today. I'm not perfect, I genuinely like who I am, where I am, and what I'm doing and I'm hoping to find someone to share my life with.

I am engaging, crass, and driven. I'm looking for someone who is at once both challenging and laid back to be my partner in crime!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working in IT. It's a lot like Office Space, but with less printer violence.
Herding my cat(yes, keeping a handle on just one is a full time effort).
Trying to get to the gym on a regular basis.
Spending time with friends and family.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
opening jars with stuck lids, this is probably the most vital skill I bring to the table, honestly

driving. Ok, not really. I'm decent, but I wish I was really good at it so it's going up here!

giving advice (isn't it always easier to give advice than to take it?)
snow skiing
SCUBA Diving
fixing gadgets
breaking gadgets
camping (Hmm, I'm not sure what makes one "good at" camping. I enjoy the occasional night in the woods?
pulling random facts out of thin air (Ask me about impact bias or Operation Northwoods)
communication and problem solving
being somewhat inappropriate
not taking myself too seriously
creating lists
collecting comment karma
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm loquacious and opinionated. I tend to be very animated when I'm interested in the topic being discussed. There will likely be some hand waving involved.

I'm full of unusual facts and figures, for example the United States has 5 percent of the world's population but over 25 percent of its prison population. This was not the case until 1979, bonus points if you can guess what caused the sudden huge uptick in incarceration rates!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
books: Palaniuk(Although he is kind of a one trick pony), Dan Savage, Stephen King, LoTR, Roald Dahl. Hunter S. Thompson, Cormac McCarthy, Neil Gaiman, Steven Pinker, Sam Harris

Anything by Malcolm Gladwell.

Why is it the only time I read anymore is when I'm on vacation? I really need to fix that!

Movies: 12 Monkies, Gattaca, Shawshank, 28 Day Later, Fight Club, The Hangover, Donnie Darko, goonies, Ghostbusters, saved, The Game, Memento, Primer. How to Train Your Dragon. I love movies, there's a ton more to list, that's just what came out straight away. Also, I love George Carlin, so if he offends you, I will likely offend you.

Music: Billy Joel, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, Muse, Pearl Jam, radiohead, Matthew Good, Mumford and Sons, Green Day, The Black Keys, Of Monsters and Men, Audioslave, Porno for Pyros (I actually don't like porno for pyros, I just want to come up on any profile searches for "porno" and "pyro"). Occasionally when nobody's looking (or is that listening) I might throw on some pop music like Katy Perry or Cobra Starship.

If it can't be grilled you might not want me to cook it, but I'm a serious foodie and love exploring new places to eat!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. The internets
2. Friends and Family
3. I'm a car guy, so a nice sunny day with the sunroof open and lots of curvy turns!
4. My black cat who is schooled in the ways of the ninja
5. A good meal
6. A conversation so good you just don't care that it's 3 AM and you have to get up in a few hours
7. The Seventh thing
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Do we really have free will or does it just seem that way?

What makes us tick, humans are such fascinating creatures!

Finding my constant. Where does one go to sign up for the Dharma Initiative anyway?

How lucky we are to be here, to have the chance to communicate, exchange ideas, to be able to ponder the nature of our own existence. The vast majority of human life is never even born. Being here is like having already won the lottery.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out with enemies? in with friends? Playing my cat in chess! Perhaps dinner and a beer or two, checking out a comedy club, catching a movie, or just out for a drive with the sunroof open.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once worked on a suicide hotline.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You know you're cute and have an awesome personality, the occasional bad hair day notwithstanding. Yes it's true, confidence is sexy in both women and men!

You want to get out, flirt, go on adventures, have an awesome time and if things go well the sky is the limit. I'm looking for something long term ultimately but know you can't force that to happen either.

you're the type of person that values someone's support but doesn't need them to fix you...

You feel like sticking it to traditional gender roles and want to message me before I message you. (No really, you should do this!)
