My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I never really know how I should start to describe myself; and when I do, if I even do myself any justice. Simply throwing out words like "outgoing" or "friendly" are useless and vanilla without context. So, that being said, I shall try to give you an apt glimpse into my psyche... without reducing myself to a handful of descriptive words.

I am a workaholic, by neccessity not by choice. I am a college student with loans to pay, and the current job market blows to say the least. Although I love my job, it doesn't exactly rake in the cash, and until I win the lottery or pay my debts off thats a huge factor for me. (Hence why I decided to pursue a more practical degree in nursing). If money wasn't an issue, I believe I would choose to work quite a bit as I enjoy the field I'm in, and I can't stand to sit still or be unproductive if I can help it.

When I don't work, or go to class (which is 1 day/week if I'm lucky), I do a myriad of things. I usually catch up on sleep, hangout with friends, read (usually related to alternative medicine), play videogames (XBOX360), knit, workout, surf the internet, watch netflix (mostly anime/cartoons or documentaries) or finish up classwork. I used to party like it was 1999, but now I try to take life a little more seriously. (Not that I don't want to have fun, but there is more to life than getting high/wasted).

I'm nerdy/geeky by nature. I simply LOVE to learn. I find knowledge so empowering, and addictive. For those of you who don't believe me, just check out my Facebook page and look at how many colleges I've attended throughout my life so far.

So, I am sure you're wondering, what does this all mean? It means I like the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, the National Geographic Channel, documentaries, politics, talk radio (NPR), and philosophical discussions. It means that I am the archetypal eccentric absent-minded professor (Think Doc Brown) and find intelligence far more sexy than any other quality a person could have. (Although a great sense of humor comes in at a close second.)

Despite being a very independent, blunt and on occassion absurd woman (I earned the nickname "Miss Oblivious" after all.) I am quite loyal. I don't give up on people or relationships easily.

I may not have much in terms of money or physical things, but whatever I do have I share readily, and will almost never turn down an earnest request for help. (from being an unofficial chauffuer, a tutor, a last minute babysitter, a shoulder to cry on, or a unpaid maid, you can rely on me to come when called).

So if you wouldn't mind dating or befriending Phoebe from "Friends", find Edward from "Cowboy Bebop" adorable, or feel Milly from "Trigun" is more perceptive than she looks; then I may just be the one for you.

For anyone interested you can also find me on:

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from UW-Green Bay w/ a B.A. in Psychology/Philosophy and a minor in Human Development December of 2006.

As of now I am attending NWTC, and in their Registered Nursing Program. Once I graduate I would like to be a holistic psychiatric nurse.

I also want to further my studies in alternative medicine as well. I would like to become a Reiki master (I am ready to progress to level 3 but I haven't found a suitable teacher.) I would also like to become a fully certified Healing Touch practitioner (I am ready to enter level 3). In the end I would like to integrate my knowledge of alternative/complementary medicine into my career somehow.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being unintentionally clumsy in bizarre and uncanny ways. I could hurt myself with safety scissors. Trust me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes.

The fact that even when I try to whisper, my voice seems to be at a dull roar. I have (dismayingly) been compared to "loud Howard" from Dillbert on occassion.

I have "Jazz" hands. I tend to be emphatic/dramatic from time to time. Oh, and I bust out random quotes from T.V. shows too.
