My self-summary
My username is supposed to be a spin off of the film Man With a Movie Camera but manwithoutamoviecamera was too long.

Just to keep things brief, I am a musician(I play guitar, bass, reggae airhorn, and drums with vague intentions of venturing into electronic production. I mostly like to play derivative punk. ), cinephile, amateur screenwriter, and a yogi. I enjoy running, yoga, traveling, vagabonding, eating, cooking, craft beer, partying, crowds, sitcoms, couchsurfing, discourse, armchair politics, trivia, reading, American football(SKOL Vikings!), cycling and punk diy ethics.

My Myers-Briggs is INFP for those who put weight into that. It's the same type as Bjork which convinces me that I am actually Bjork.
What I’m doing with my life
Working to buy things that make a lot of noise
I’m really good at
Taking selfies with other people's pets
Tabletop Foosball
People tell me I'm a good dancer. I'm pretty sure
they're just being facetious.
The first things people usually notice about me
Beard. Sick rat tail(not pictured)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Blood Meridian, The Stranger, The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined, Notes from Undergound, In Cold Blood, The Road, Slaughterhouse Five, Vagabonding:The Uncommon Guide to the Art of Longterm Travel, a lot of film texts. So many I can't think of and so many I've only half read.

Favorite film directors: Ingmar Bergman, Martin Scorsese, Michael Hanake, Paul Thomas Anderson, Akira Kurosawa, Luis Bunuel, David Lynch, Sarah Polley, Alejandro Gonzales Inaritu, Charlie Chaplin, Krzysztof Kleislowski, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

Films: Taxi Driver, Through a Glass Darkly, Scenes from a Marriage, The Silence, Winter Light, Synechdoche New York, Cache, Shame, Three Colors Trilogy(Blue, White, Red), That Obscure Object of Desire, Black Belly of the Tarantula, Dancer in the Dark, The Squid and the Whale, The Darjeeling Limited, Boogie Nights, Eyes Wide Shut, There Will Be Blood, A Separation, Cria Cuervos, Uncle Boonme Who Can Recall Past Lives. Lately I've been getting into Sub-Saharan African films and Eastern Asian films that aren't Kurosawa.

Shows: I never actually watch TV, except for Jeopardy. I usually catch most shows on Netflix. Freaks and Geeks, Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, The Office, Louie(This show has an incredible range of an almost Bunuel like surrealism to his own brand of absurdist humor), Bob's Burgers

Music: Converge, Baroness, Jawbreaker, The Menzingers, Latterman, Joanna Newsom, Amesoeurs,The White Stripes, Chief Keef, Electric Wizard, Pallbearer, The Body, Cocteau Twins, Future, Waka Flocka Flame, Alkaline Trio, Hot Water Music, At the Gates, Bjork, Jucifer, Dear Landlord, Coalesce, Botch, Sigur Ros, Pharmakon, Author and Punisher, Youth Code, Streetlight Manifesto, The Mars Volta, That one Ke$ha song, Dinosaur Jr., Ja Rule(He put out so many great R&B influenced hip-hop ballads), Melt Banana, Arcade Fire, Fleetwood Mac, Pig Destroyer, Radiohead, Brian Eno, Dead to Me, Against Me!, Trap Them, Joe Pass, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Mastodon. I could keep going on and on.

Food: I'll usually try anything that's within the confines of a vegan diet.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Film, the epistemological challenges I face, food, Minnesota Vikings and American football in general, what certain songs would sound like if James Hetfield or Michael Mcdonald sang them instead.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I get really bad sleep paralysis. It's actually very fascinating but also frightening. I love talking about it.

Nickelback isn't the worst band ever
