My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a culture junky; I like books, most arts, and generally learning new things.

I have a PhD from UF. I used to teach there, and I'm still working in education, but in the private sector now. I think that learning and knowledge are the most important and empowering things in the world--but teaching, the profession in the 21st century, is a chump's game if you're doing the actual teaching.

Right now, I'm working on getting my dissertation published, and I'm working on a book about poetry and neurology. (For all you theory nerds out there, it's about a constructivist approach to poetics and criticism.)

I'm a born-and-raised Floridian, and I love the Florida wilderness. I have a crazy bat-eared dog, and she loves the Florida wilderness too.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'd eventually like to teach at a tech or a design school. Until then, I'm enjoying a reprieve from academia. Someday, when professors are wealthy and respected, I'm going to retire to a beach in outer space.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
