My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Looking for a history buff to kick it with on the streets of Philly for weekend excursions, preferably excursions that end with a cold pint.

I enjoy thinking and learning. Important information, trivial knowledge, whatever. I know that seems vague, but I could spend hours just immersing myself in the history of universal auxiliary languages (check our Solresol!) or the various failed sodas from the past 50 years (I'm lookin at you, Crystal Pepsi)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm in education. Right now I'm teaching 4th and 5th grade reading and writing.

I also play keys in a west Philly trio called Castellan.
This guys in it too Half_In_Love

And in this band, Post Sun Times

AND I ALSO run a performance space in West Philly called Safety Meeting. Check out the showwwss....
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'd like to hope that I am an excellent teacher. I also think I'm a pretty damn fine keyboard player.

I'm also good at:
waking, walking, baking, balking, caking, calking, faking, falking, gaking, galking, jaking, jalking, raking, ralking, making, malking, taking, talking, staking, stalking
(there are definitions for all of these. feel free to ask me about any.)

Oh also I'm a mean Boggle/Scramble player. Don't cross me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My winning personality? I don't really know..
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Vonnegut and Salinger are my pulpy standbys. Otherwise, I tend to read non-fiction: sociology, theology, politics, and of course, my favorite beach reads, pop politics.

CURRENTLY READING: (1/16/14) - The Collected Short Stories of Langston Hughes

Movies: Really enjoy political thrillers: Z, Syriana, The Manchurian Candidate (original), The Parallax View, Marathon Man. I also enjoy dark comedy: American Psycho, Buffalo '66, Royal Tenenbaums, Fear and Loathing, etc.

Shows: Mr. Show, Battlestar Galactica, X Files, Simpsons, The West Wing

Music: Wow. Tough. Grew up on folk music and jazz, so both have a special place in my heart. I listen to a lot of motown and hip hop. Also very into international music, especially afrobeat, highlife, juju, etc. The rest of the time is assorted indie rock.

On another note, I describe the music that I actually play as Dream Folk...

CURRENT LISTENS (8/15/14) - Tycho, Slow Club, Slow Magic, Com Truise

Food: ALL FOOD! As long as it is vegetarian...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Food
2. Water
3. Air
This is an absurd question.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how the world is going to end. Sick? I think not. I think that our generation is going to see some crazy shit go down.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
either out at a West Philly house party, hosting one at mine, checkin out some live music, or maxin out with a good book if I had a long week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
As a child I mistook a jar of Icy Hot for a jar of hair gel and massaged a crapload of it into my hair. Burning scalp and hilarity ensued.
