I subscribe to a logical, scientific, rationalist worldview that I wish I could follow more often. But huge parts of life seem to me to be totally irrational, like aesthetics, love, sex, why some people like spicy food, why the Rolling Stones are better than the Beatles, etc. I'm a somewhat strident atheist, but I do believe in some things: Freudian psychological concepts, human rights, the power of rock and roll, and the importance of being kind to other people.
I like all the things that everyone likes: travelling, drinking beer, learning new things..., nature, especially monkeys, coffee, punk rock, highbrow cinema, Indian food, laughing, the satisfaction that comes from minor accomplishments.
Actually I'm quite boring, but hanging out with me is always fun because I can squeeze something funny or interesting out of any situation.
I also decided a few years ago to try to be a genuinely nice person and I think it's working out pretty well so far.
