My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a nice guy looking for a nice girl. I am very active. I ski. I sail. I work on my sailboat. I have a very interesting job that I look forward to every day. I work hard and play hard.

I have three boys off at college

I am looking for a best friend and partner. Someone interested in building a relationship full of affection, mutual respect, romance, passion and excitement. If you are looking for a man that is fun, interesting and full of passion and enthusiasm let's get to know each other.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working at a job that I truly love. Trying to be the best father I possibly can. Trying to make the world around me a better, safer place. Fixing things. Fixing a mouthwatering grilled steak dinner in under an hour!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Fixing things. Since I seem to be really good at breaking things, I have become good at fixing them as well.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Obviously my hair. I have a thick, full head of snow white hair. I usually keep it cut pretty short.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I am pretty food motivated. I love exploring the food world. I seek out new and interesting places to eat. I have been known to read a cookbook. Anthony Bourdain is my favorite chef at the moment. When I was a kid my favorite was Graham Kerr, "The Galloping Gourmet". Remember him? If I come across an interesting recipe I cut it out and carry it around in my back pocket until I have a chance to cook it. I once made a turduken for Christmas dinner. It was a great idea but pretty hard to execute. Quite the ordeal!

I have over 6,000 songs on my iPhone. My taste in music is VERY broad, everything from Barouque chamber music to Country. Not usually in the same playlist though. I usually listen to "The Bridge" or "Coffeehouse" on XM for all you satelite radio fans out there.

When I go to the movies I like to get a little vicarious thrill and adventure. I have a broad taste in movies also. I just watched Atonement again and loved it just as much as the first time. I will watch just about anything but prefer "Sherlock Holmes", "Mission Impossible", "Bourne Identity" action/thriller types. I have not seen any of these, by the way, I just would like to. Would you like to go to one with me?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I can be a better, more effective person
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching one of my sons participate in some sporting event and wishing I had a date afterwards.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am not willing to admit much here. Maybe face-to-face I'll tell you a private secret or two.
