Montréal se sent encore comme une étrangère pour moi, mais je l'aime tout de même. Ma vie a été très inspirant et pleine de possibilités depuis que j'ai déménagé ici. Je suis à la recherche d'un partenaire de vie à partager des aventures.

Je suis ici depuis près de trois ans. Notre groupe d'amis sont incroyablement fun et varié, mais trop anglophone. J'aimerais rencontrer plus de Montréalais dans les situations où il n'est pas difficile musique forte de ma compréhension.

Biology, Music and Love - my favourite things I try to fill my life with.

I've got an MSc in geography, though I consider myself a biologist. Specifically I work with spatial ecology, from mapping and satellite characterization of plant ecosystems, to looking at how things are behaving in a mathematical model. I've been fascinated since being a kid at why certain animals and plants are where they are, and how it all works together. My brain is full of so much stuff on how the natural world works. As a result I also love being outdoors, environmentalism, sustainability, and the philosophy and ethics of how humanity fits into that. I'm definitely looking for someone who shares similar values, but isn't afraid to get into protracted conversations.

Music, my first love. I've been DJing for over 10 years, finishing my own tunes for 4 and been a lover of music since I remember hearing it. I'm mostly into electronic music, but I also really love folk, indie, jazz and world music. I don't really get modern pop music, as it sounds like the same song over and over again. Ironic coming from someone who loves the 4/4 boom boom boom boom, I know. But, growing up in the 80s and 90s, I do love me some cheese. Primarily though, I listen to a lot of dub techno, minimal techno, dark techno, deep dubstep, future garage, psybient, progpsy, wonky, la beats, trip hop, abstract hip hop, acid jazz, folktronica, etc. check out current mixes and tracks if you're interested:

Love, the journey of life. I'm at the point in my life where I'm looking for a permanent, primary partner to really build something with. I know what I want, but I'm open to finding out who a person is, and am not restrictive in that. I'm polyamorous and in a committed (but not romantically involved) relationship. Meaning I can be sexually exclusive, but not emotionally exclusive. If you don't understand how it's possible to love with an open heart but still follow rules, it's not likely for this lifetime.

I'm also spiritual in my dedication to love, with a scientific ability to maintain the dualism in mysticism between skepticism and faith. It does me well for culturing mindfulness and good living. My rational side battles with my romantic desire for meaning and poetry. I feel all the better for it, but don't take kindly to pseudoscience or unethical dogma.

books: natural history, sci fi, classics. Orson Scott Card, Asimov, Huxley, Borges. I tend to read more news, editorials and scientific articles ever since my MSc though.

music: techno, house, industrial, post rock, indie, ambient, idm, experimental folk, jazz, minimalist contemporary classical... i could list endless subgenres and artists here. Music and dancing to it is a huge part of my life. i'm a dj and producer, see above. i love making mixtapes for people

food: vegetarian, indian, mediterranean, farmer food, fresh and healthy. although i have an irrational weakness for cheesies.
I love to cook, and I think I'm pretty decent at it. Although baking is something that still eludes me. I think of recipes as ideas rather than restrictions, so the science of baking sorta flies out the window.

The most common thing are house parties, sharing food, conversation and a few drinks with friends or new people. Vernissage or a music occasionally.
Or reading and doing music stuff at home if I'm worn out from the week or have an idea burning to get out.
Shenanigans are about half share with downtime.

I think the apocalypse will be good for the Earth as a whole. Tragedy seems to breed heroes, and our biosphere needs a rebalancing.
