My self-summary
Very open and sociable bloke with a both dry / sarcastic and yet daft and surreal sense of humour who enjoys the bizarre/surreal side of life.

Tattooed and tactile.

I enjoy most music and have very eclectic taste but rock features heavily in my music collection. Enjoy reading, cinema, walking/hking (out of practice), history and science.

My daughter is the most important thing in my world, and I see her as often as I can.

Having escaped the NHS after 13 years and I'm looking forward to new things, even if that's a new part of the NHS.

Want to steer clear of drama and one night stands, want something more positive.

Back on here after spell of disillusionment with on-line dating, and a computer reboot / repair. Give it another go, nothing ventured...

Other stuff
I’m really good at
Listening. Remembering random facts.

Wishing I was less accomplished at putting my foot in my mouth.

Light hearted sarcasm.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm hidden under a baseball cap, usually.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: too many to name but like Steven Erikson, David Eddings, Douglas Adams, Anne Rice, Raymond Feist and Terry Pratchett, John Wyndham amongst numerous others.

Movies: again lots, but The Lost Boys, The Princess Bride, Subway, Bladerunner, Aliens, Star Wars IV-VI and Repo Man top the list.
Fan of Luc Besson and I am slowly collecting all his movies.
Also a fan of Terry Gilliam; Brazil being my favourite.
Sucker for Bruce Campbell/Sam Raimi films. Also fan of well thought out World Cinema, such as Amélie, Timecrimes, Storm and Thale.

Others I must add to list; Blue Velvet, Life of Brian, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Dogma, The Blues Brothers, Heathers, LotR's, and Django Unchained.

TV: NCIS, Bones, Walking Dead, Big Bang Theory. Never Mind the Buzzcocks, QI, Red Dwarf, and Mock the Week, also Masterchef, bizarrely. Fan of the Discovery Channel.

Music: Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, System of a Down, Metallica, Madness, Tori Amos, REM, Pink Floyd, Queen, Ultravox, The Sisters of Mercy, Green Day, Bowling for Soup, All About Eve, Japan/Sylvian, Slipknot and the list goes on and on. But admittedly it's mostly rock and metal. But I find 80's synthpop is still very enjoyable, along with other genres, like what I like. Increasingly interested in EBM, is that allowed at my age?

Attended Liverpool Psych Fest and also seen some excellent post/math rock bands recently.

Comedy: Love Eddie Izzard, Tim Minchin, Bill Bailey and Bill Hicks. Monty Python still makes me chortle, and love the much missed Mary Whitehouse Experience.

Food: yes I like it, but it's hard to say that I have a favourite type. If pushed, it is probably Mexican ...or Indian...or Pizza...or Chinese..or..sushi ..or? decisions, decisions.

I love cheesecake though. And cheese toasties.

I criminally forgot to mention I love Roast Dinners.

Enjoy single malt and sampling different types of neat unflavoured vodka, ice cold of course.
