I'm trying to get to a place where I can do what I love for a living. What I love is making functional things out of dependable materials. Objects are subject to evolution, mutated by the creative minds of intelligent humans. I like solving problems, repairing things, and improving things. My design philosophy prizes efficiency above everything else, and my ethical motivations compel me to insist on the sustainability of my designs in the ecological sense and the globally appropriate sense as much as in the physical, because it doesn't matter if it won't break for a hundred years and can always be repaired if its harming the ecosystems and communities of my planet.
But I work in foodservice, and have to do stuff like that on the side. It's a reality of my generation. Generally speaking, I thrive, so if you can't see yourself being with me or being friends with me because of that, please move along. On the other hand, if you can get me a job I will love more or one that pays more than the one I've got, by all means, let me know.
sometimes people fall in love with me when they watch me eat. I don't know why, it's just something that's happened.
to me, music is only worth listening to for being musically interesting. it's got to be well enough composed. I especially adore vocal harmonies in popular music (not that I have anything against choral). I like clever lyrics and profound ones. and I especially enjoy when they happen to match the melody and the rhythm. I love breaks and key changes and ad libs, and often love a song only for that one spot where it's like, BAM, right there. it catches you off guard the first time, and then every time you hear it again you wait for it. I'm not going to list a bunch of bands and artists. I probably like a lot of the ones you do.
the only movies I don't enjoy are the ones that are really poorly made, too fucking scary, or designed to make me feel embarrassed for the protagonist. a little horror is okay, but I'm not sadistic enough to want to watch terrible things happen to people. I think that explains the one about comedies that are based on embarrassment, too.
I often find it hard to read anything that doesnt have a plot. I especially dig Orson Scott Card, J K Rowling, Roald Dahl, Heinlein, Ursula LeGuin, Douglas Adams, and a bunch of others. Recommend me some, if you like.
I love games. Word games, board games, field games. If it isn't fun, why do it? I especially love ultimate, soccer, cards against humanity, the one about thrones, grand theft auto, and I'm pretty sure I'd love dungeons and dragons if I had ever had anybody to play with. I even love crosswords, and wait wait don't tell me. I'm not very good at chess, yet, but I love it too. Egyptian rat screw, oh hell, or you can teach me a new one. I've played plenty of world of warcraft and Diablo, but I try not to get sucked in. I will pwn you with olimar in brawl.
two wheeled vehicles, with motors and without.
orgasms. I've tried, doesn't work.
narrative. I love all of the forms- stage, screen, comics, everything from haiku to thousand page novels, well written television.

if you want a partner in crime. but literally. if you could inspire me, or teach me something. I know everyone says that, but it's good, so I'm using it.
mainly, you should message me if you're into it. if you're interested in the idea of getting into me, and you think it'd be sweet if I were into you.
