I spent most of my life in Perth and I've been living in Melbourne coming up 3 years now. I love it here. I never seem to run out of things to see and do.
I think life is too short to be unhappy so I'm trying to do all the things I love as often as I can, which is where painting comes in. I paint ...a lot. It has gotten to the point were they are stored in other people's spare rooms...ooops.
When I'm not painting or working I'm either exploring markets, reading, enjoying a quiet glass of wine and looking for the next adventure (even if it is just getting lost in a town I don't know). The other day I went to buy an old school board game and realised I had no one to play with, so if anyone will come and play connect 4 or Nightmare with me that would be great :)
I tell a good story and try to see the good side in everything, especially on days when is feels like you're pushing the proverbial s*t up a hill.
I adore my family and friends and I visit them as often as possible. I have strong family values. I do miss having them all around me , although I am fortunate enough for them to visit me fairly regularly.
I have a dark and dry sense of humour, sometimes I laugh at inappropriate jokes. I think Dexter is hilarious, mainly when he's thinking things in his head.
I can be a bit of a work junkie, but when I come home I'm quite happy to slip into housewife mode (I still will not do anyone's ironing though!)
I love cooking for others and entertaining. Coming from Perth I'm used to having everyone over for a BBQ or meeting for a picnic in the sunshine.
I love animals. I have a cat, although I'm certainly not a cat lady. I asked my cat his opinion on the subject and he agreed. Neither of us want another cat in our life ;)
If I'm driving past sheep, cows, goats or horses on a trip into the country I will wave and say hello to them.
I sing loudly in my car and in the shower to 90's pop music and play air guitar to ACDC. In saying that I have a varied taste in music. I will give anything a chance...well almost anything...death metal makes no sense to me at all.
I am clumsy, I kick my toes and walk into things all the time. My best friend generally wont let me have a glass to drink out of in her house. I love playing with bubbles, I'm so glad my niece and nephew let me use them as a cover for it.
I'm childlike on the inside with a lady like exterior, one who wears dresses and heels (unless I'm painting and I'm in PJ's covered in paint).
I don't really know what else to say, I guess one can never judge a person by a few paragraphs.
