My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Jason.

Warning: After lookin' this profile over, I realized it's really damn long and you probably want something a bit smaller to digest first. So here it goes. I am some sort of weird mix of a jock, a nerd, and a snarky ass. I am not religious, but I have a strong sense of morality. This is probably why I have an over developed sense of justice (Or like everyone always used to tell me, all those damn comic books rotted my mind as a child). I tend to make a few very close friends, and they mean the world to me. Honesty is a big deal to me. I am a pretty chill guy. I am one of those weird people that can just be happy in the fact that I exist. I constantly ask myself "How hard is it to decide to be in a good mood, and then just be in a good mood?" So if any of this caught your eye, read on.

So without further ado:

I'm a college student at ISU I was majoring in Chemistry however recent changes in my life have made me really examine what I want to do career wise, so I took the year off to make sure this is what I wanted. To pay for school I own my own cleaning/lawn care business, not super exciting but it pays the bills and has flexible hours so I can't complain too much. A note: I live in Pocatello, but I travel to IF so much for work I am up there half or slightly more than half of my time.

I love just chilling, and hanging out with friends (This is obviously redundant, because we are in Idaho. If you can't just chill you hate this place, probably to the point where you would rather saw off your own leg rather than stay here for a moment longer). I am fairly low maintenance. I like going out and am pretty much game for anything, but a quiet night in definitely doesn't bug me. I'm a big Star Wars fan, if you didn't catch it in my SN. I'm a huge movie buff (this helps a lot with those quiet nights in). I enjoy pretty much every genre except horror, although there are even a few of those I'm fairly fond of.

I'm kinda a big goof, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I definitely have a weird/offbeat/dark sense of humor, so generally you are either on my page and love my humor or you are offended/put off by it. Slapping "That's what she said" on the end of anything even remotely Freudian is always a good time.

I'm really talkative once you get to know me (And based off how fuckin' long this profile is, to random strangers too), I like getting to know interesting people. I absolutely love someone who forces me to think and ponder. If you can bring me a challenge and hold your own in a discussion you are definitely someone I will like to be around. I love weird people! I like unraveling the mystery.

I love games and puzzles, of all sorts, be it a board game, or a computer game or some silly game you and your friends make up, as long as it's enjoyable and it makes you laugh it's totally worth your time. Which surprisingly can be said for most things in life.

I absolutely love a girl who can make me think. I love long talks about anything that sparks thought and debate. Being clever is probably one of the most sexy things a woman can do.

And even though I take a bunch of crap for it as a guy I am a hopeless romantic. I love, love. It's so much fun. Picnics in the park, flowers for no reason, long walks at sunset, candle light dinners the whole shebang.

So other than the standard kit, what makes me different? What are my quirks eh:

-I like to discus and debate, sometimes to the point of liking to argue just for the sake of arguing. I try to reign that in when I notice the other person isn't really into it, it really depends on who I am with. Most people interpret 'argue' to mean fighting, here I mean it as discus two opposing views. I mind-gasm over ideas or arguments that force me to change how I view the world. I am act utilitarian if any of you smarty pants out there were curious, all you curious non-smarty pants folks out there can look it up.

- I am definitely a nerd. I would be what you call a closet nerd, or a high functioning nerd. Which means I am able to function socially, yet will still rock your world with useless obscure information about imaginary characters. It also means that I would never reveal to a person of the opposite sex how nerdy I am until they had far to much time/energy/effort invested in me to bail... hrrm as you are reading this I guess that this statement is now false, well shit. Too late I refuse to use my delete button you would have found out sooner or later anyways. I love comic book heroes and fantasy, I probably know more than even the average nerd could claim. For instance I strongly judge super hero movies based on if they are cannon or not. And I have read pretty much every book on one of those 'Classic books you should read before you die' lists. I was a valedictorian.

-I was a huge jock (I played football for 6-7 years and hockey for 12-13). That's right I played hockey and have a beard, "so what big deal, wanna fight about it?" I still like to hit the gym and get my 'swol' on like every other meat head. This facet of my personality (my 'jock-ey-ness') is usually where my competitive nature manifests itself most. I am always at least somewhat competitive, because like Charlie Sheen I am bi-winning.

-When it comes to love I am a hopeless romantic. I believe in true love and all that jazz, and I think that ultimately the goal of life is to find that person with whom you share such a strong connection to spend it with. I love to treat the person I care about well, I want other women to be jealous of you.

-And after looking over this profile, I ramble. ALOT. So if you like talking I am prolly someone you would get along with.

-I can be a snarky prick at times.

- So every summer for 9 years I grew up on my grandpa's dude ranch, so I know more about being a cowboy than I would ever have hoped to. I am not into the whole cowboy life style. All this knowledge pretty much equates to one of those random skills you pick up in life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm just working my way through school, enjoying life as it comes. It took me a while to decide what exactly it was I wanted to do in life, I've always known what I've wanted out of life, and what I do as a career factors into that very little. A steady source of income, and a job that gives me enough spare time to enjoy life, is all I really need. But I am taking some time to try and find something I am truly passionate about so that I can feel like I make a difference with what I do. I want a family, and that isn't to say kids specifically I am on the fence about kids right now, but I want a home to be able to come back to. I want someone whom I'll never have to worry about having my back, standing beside me. Life is short, so why not share it with someone? Our connections to others is the only thing of true importance we will really ever have in this life.

Eventually I would like to see all the places in the world I haven't seen or experienced. I love south east Idaho. I know that's weird but this is where my family and friends are. But when I have the money and time, I would like to travel to as many places as I can.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Science! I should be. But I suppose I'm good at quite a few things, but I really enjoy and make good convo, I love sports of all kinds, I played football and hockey in high school. Playing a sport is an awesome time, but I've never been one of those guys who's really into watching them, not enough action for my tastes. I really enjoy, and excel any type of game though, especially thought provokers. I like challenges!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is how straight forward I am. I generally call people on their bullshit, especially so if I feel like their bullshit is perpetrating some injustice. Although since I'm not other people I'll have to take their word for it? Can't really say for sure. Honesty is a pretty cool virtue it really goes along way to making life much easier. I guess I have also been told on more than one occasion I am fairly intelligent and it shows. I personally feel it's just I remember a lot of details/information about subjects I'm interested in, and I am a fairly curious person about how things work around me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite book: Count of Monte' Cristo, if you haven't read it, you really should. I have come to find that most classics are worth reading, even if it was at times painful to trudge through them in high school I find I appreciate most of them now. I only realized how well read I was when I recently filled out one of those "Books you should read before you die lists" and found out that apparently I am ready to die because I have read around 90% of the list. After that most history books, generally the 20th century is awesome stuff. It's nice to see the development of how we got to where we are today.

Movie: Shawshank Redemption there are quite a few that I have in my top 10 and most of those compete for #1 but since I just watched this before siting down to write, Shawshank gets the top spot. Some of the short list: Starwars, Pulp fiction, Kill Bill, any of the new comic book movies generally gets a thumbs up from me, Fightclub, Choke, Made, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Rocknrolla, Pineapple Express, Little Miss Sunshine, 500 Days of Summer, The Shape of Things, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, LoTR, Spirited Away, Sin City, Seven, V for Vendetta, In Bruges, and tons and tons more. I am definitely missing a slew of others, just ask if you are interested.

Music: There is not enough time or space to describe good and bad music, so if you want an education, hit me up. I am a musical elitist which is sad because I have 0 musical talent and probably no right to be one. Here are the last 12 bands that played on my ipod, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, From Autumn To Ashes, Damien Rice, Atreyu (old not new, new = the curse on), Dashboard Confessional, Say Anything, Poison The Well, Taking Back Sunday, Johnny Cash (don't dis the Cash man), Billy Talent, Sage Francis, and The Beatles. As you can see my tastes kinda swing wildly. Here are some general trends I have noticed, I am a sucker for acoustic guitar, and chick vocals. I have also noticed I tend to like songs about something of importance, rather than a catchy refrain.

Food: It's probably easier to put what I don't like, grapefruit, black licorice, and uncooked green peppers (fried up they are fine :P). I like to try new things, at least once. Not being super picky helps a ton with that and has lead me to try quite a few amazing foods over the years.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, My computer, My Friends, My Phone, Coffee (generally full of sugar and cream), And Orange Tic Tacs (What can I say they are AMAZING)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I really don't know how to answer this and not sound dull or extreme, I guess my thoughts are all over the place. Occasionally I can just turn off and not constantly barrage my mind with thoughts, but it's rare that I don't have something zinging around in my head.

I also always wonder: when people look at my profile but don't message me, if they are lookin' then runnin' or are just aren't courageous enough to message me. I promise I am a nice guy so if you are on the fence about messaging me, go ahead it might just be the best thing you do today :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out chillin' with friends a vast majority of the time, usually doing some random stuff (time wasted with friends is never wasted), or on the rare occasion studying. I don't really drink, smoke, or do drugs so I don't party a ton, but it's always fun to cut loose and spend time with friends. But when I am hangin' with friends I usually end up at a party, sometimes a bar just hangin' with people. Where ever the flow kinda takes me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I guess I'm a bit of a nerd, but what are you gonna do eh? Another thing that I am a bit ashamed to admit is I have a very hard time spelling words. I know it sounds silly, but I have an extremely large vocabulary and can't spell for beans. It's a little funny because people often comment on how articulate I am, but if I was forced to spell the words I know, I would be in a world of hurt. Anything else I guess inquire inside? I'm really open, but I don't share with anyone who doesn't really ask. Maybe I need to be a bit more vain, but I'm not so I don't.
