Well, like a lot of other people on this website this is the first
time I've ever tried online dating. So, we'll see what
happens...
With that being said I'll introduce myself. My name is Nikki and
I'm 19 years old. I'm actually from Fayetteville, no I'm not a
military brat I'm just that lucky. I have a wicked sense of humor
and I believe if you can't laugh at something then you're not
living. However, I can be serious and hold an intelligent
conversation. When it comes to the big things in life I generally
know exactly what I want and how I'm going to accomplish it. It's
the little things that makes life interesting and I don't always
have the answers for those. When I have something important to say
or that's been on my mind my thoughts can be really abstract or
cryptic. Eventually I'll get to the bottom of it but sometimes I
have a short attention span. Simple things make me happy! I enjoy
waking up on a random Saturday morning and just driving to the
beach or some place I've never been. Or just staying at home
hanging out with my friends and family having a good time.
As for some of the things I like to do...even though I'm not 21 I
do enjoy hanging out with friends and having a few beers but I
think there are more ways to enjoy your weekend than getting
blitzed. I like to go out and be active...sitting on the couch and
watching a movie every once in a while is fun but it gets old. I
try to go to the gym several times a week to improve and maintain a
healthy lifestyle. When you're lying on your death bed, you're not
thinking about all those things you learned in school, it's all
about your health. I have a very outgoing personality which means
I'll try just about anything once.
When I finish college I've thought about joining the Peace Corps or
doing something to give back to the world. I've always felt like
there was a part of me that wants to say I've done something bigger
than myself. Like a lot of people my age I'm still not quite sure
what I want to do as far as a career. I've always liked helping
people and giving advice so I'm looking into becoming a
counselor...not a shrink lol.
I've been an artist for the better part of my life so I have a
tendency to look at things from outside the box. When I was in high
school I had the opportunity to attend the North Carolina School of
the Arts for
visual
art and I spent only a year there. I wish I would have stayed
but life had other things in store for me. Hopefully within the
next few months I'll be back in the studio. I'm also really good at
cooking. I love to watch the
Food Network. Other than all of
that I'm really good at giving people advice and just being there
as a good friend. I think if someone can open up to me and just
have a conversation about anything whether it be something wrong or
just a random thought, it's a good feeling.
I tend to be quiet at first around new people but after a while I'm
relaxed and I talk a lot. People say I make a lot of faces and that
I have an eccentric sense of humor.
I love most genres of music but I've always listened to mostly
rock music. But
here is a few random artists you'll find on my iPod: Tool, Flogging
Molly, Taylor Swift, Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton, The Mighty Mighty
Bosstones, Bush, Fuel, Cold, Smashing Pumpkins, Pitbull, Outkast,
Atreyu, Rise Against, The Killers,
I absolutely love to watch movies! I like just about any kind
except for horror movies...I get scared. These are some of my
favorite movies: Forrest Gump, Blow, Carlito's Way, Back To The
Future, Steel Magnolias, Volver, Gran Torino, Tropic Thunder, What
Dreams May Come, Mrs. Doubtfire, Hook, Robinhood Men In Tights,
First Knight, Tristan & Isolde, Inside Man, Bridget Jones
Diary, and many more.
I can't say that I have a favorite kind of food. I love to cook and
entertain at home or else go to a nice restaurant. Some of my
favorite places to eat around Fayetteville are Luigi's, Thai
Pepper, and 316 Oyster Bar.
My mind wanders quiet a bit. I'm a very curious person...I love to
know what motivates people and what makes them tick in a good or
bad way. I'm always interested in learning something new.
I love to hang out with my friends and family, watch movies, go
out, just whatever is a good time.
This made me wonder how private is too private? I'm not beating
around the bush but if you want to know something private about me
or my dirty laundry then I think you'll ask =] I welcome the
questions.
You're able to hold an intelligent conversation and still have fun
doing it. None of that, "Hey...ummm....." because no one likes
being in that postion.
