I have been really trying not to put my life in danger foolishly. We'll see how that goes.

I love swing/blues/tango/soul/whatever-dancing, hiking, camping, traveling, concerts (with dancing), snorkeling (dancing in the ocean) and bible study. I'm usually out a few times a week engaging in above activities or anything else that looks interesting.

I seem to prefer having experiences more than having things. I'm a hoarder of memories.

In my 30's, my life has been becoming less about me and more about things bigger than me. I'm really happy about that. I'll stop there before I become overwhelmingly "positive" because that I am not.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on records and film scores in the studio, traveling, breathing fresh air, trying to be present
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening to music. Helping people. Seeing things others don't.
The first things people usually notice about me

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Saying "I like all music except country and rap" is the same as saying "I like all paintings except those with red or black"

Jesse and the Rippers, Cody Chesnutt, Daniel Johnston, the Roots, Father John Misty, Thelonious Monk, Benji Hughes, Sigur Ros, Duke Ellington, Freddie Gibbs, D'angelo, Little Dragon, Lorde, Santigold, Nina Simone, Neurosis, the Meters, etc...... My absolute favorite music to listen to is amazing stuff I never knew existed until I hear it. Online dating reminds me of the song "Eleanor Rigby".

Blink, Freakanomics, everything Michael Crichton, Music autobiographies

Taco Trucks, a lot of the cool restaurants I can walk to in Atwater Village. I also cook a lot of Kale accompanied meals (why is kale capitalized?)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
It's kind of hard to say because I'm a spoiled American and have never been put in a situation where I really had to do without something important.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Defriending people on Facebook because they believe or think differently than you seems kinda like dictatorship behavior to me. The whole purpose of having friends is to respectfully challenge each other. That being said, I have found, through hours of experimentation, Facebook is not a great forum for discussing ideas, even if the idea is "the onion is not real news". I am, however, lucky enough to have a wealth of great and real-life friends that challenge me and my thoughts and are also open to reconsider their own beliefs.

Also, I think zombies are so popular because it's very relatable, we kind of live in a zombie apocalypse
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Same thing we do every night, try to take over the world.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I got stuck in a cave this summer. Very frustrating.

I went to see a friend's improv group and voted for the opposing team. I view it as helping him out in the long run.

I like to make eye contact with straight guys who are checking themselves out in the mirror. They HATE it!

I check myself out in my phone but not all the time.

I'm attracted to Ursula from the Little Mermaid but not the real life person she is based on. The difference is in the tentacles

I do not own a dog or adorable Chinese kid, but my friends do so I love them as my own.
